Expansion tank

I just received a new 351W (Old style) expansion tank. The water neck that is on my 351W has a smaller fitting that runs to the water pump. With this expansion tank there is no fitting that resembles the one on the current water neck. Is there something that I am missing here? Thanks!

That's for the heater hose I believe. Did it have the small 90 deg bent hose from the t-stat to the pump?
