Smile Gulf blue & orange

Could you post your pictures of the GT 40 with Gulf blue and orange paint? I saw a Cobra at the 07 LCS with a Gulf blue and orange paint job. Does anyone have pictures of a Cobra with this paint scheme? The first time I saw this paint job on a GT 40 I did not like it but now I do. I would like to print a couple of pictures of the GT 40 and Cobra for the wall at my shop.

Dwight

Bernie,
Are you talking about a GT40, Ford GT or the BackDraft done in the Heritage colors?

Hi Sal,

If you are referring to the BDR logos in the interior of the car I would like to say that I saw the car at Carlisle in May and it looked stunning IMHO. It was painted that special color combo to commermorate Backdraftracings 500 th car.

BTW, thank you for your comments on Keith Kraft and Pond iron and aluminum blocks on my search for a NSO 427 Side Oiler. Keith contacted me over the weekend and I was planning on calling him today based upon your recommendation along with some others.

Glad I could help. As for the BDR car, yes, it looks a bit cluttered up with all the logos in the interior, and then all the Roush stuff under the hood. Just a little more brand promotion through parts then I prefer. I was just poking a little fun though, I have no problem with what people like to do with thier cars.

Default die cast GT 40

I have three die cast Ford GT and would like to paint one of them Gulf Livery.

Which one should I paint? What is the paint code for the blue & orange?

Dwight

the 'real' gulf car. (ok, one of them. )

Porsche 917.

and.... a very expensive gt40, diecast, 1:18.
http://www.toysandhobbies.com/store/...ml?id=2w72XJ7V

something like $398. but not taking any more orders. If you hunt around searching under 'diecast cars in Gulf colors" or GT40 in Gulf Colors, you'll find stuff, like on ebay etc.
goodluck!

hmmm this is fun!!!

nice looking poster....
