Hal, I never noticed you lived in Rock Hill. What a great area.
I have closed "The Cowboy " or what ever the name is a few times.

Hey, I'm just repeating what SAAC says boys. The only thing that separates the original Cobras from the Continuation Cobras is the time frame they were built. No mental masturbation here. For those that need a refresher please go to www.SAAC.com
4PIPES: Because your compelled to by the force of my arguments.
BillS: I'm still waiting to know what Shelbys your currently "attached to" if that means "own". Please we'd love to know. Whats the secret? Its gonna be in the registry anyway, right???? Or could it be we'll find you're the one thats masturbating.
CowtownCobra: OUCH!!! ROFLAO. You are either the best comedian on the planet, seriously in need of glasses or need meds for what appears to be the worst case of sour grapes to show up on this site. . Lets just say you're in the "minority" with your assesment of the Ford GT. But thats OK. Believe me it impresses and has impressed more then the 16 year olds that likely wouldn't even be impressed with your SB Lone Star. I could say "ALOT" of not nice things about your "LS" w/ a SB (easy pickin's) thats trying to be a BB but I'll be nice and take the high road so...all I'll say is enjoy your "SB Lone Star" and I'll enjoy my "POS" "bastardized" GT. ROFLAO

Evan,
Wait for your copy and dig in (it's going to be a lot bigger than the last few editions) as I do not need to stroke my ego (or anything else for that matter) in such a public manner as you do.
Enjoy the read.

BillS:Well if you didn't want to stroke your ego in public (or anything else) then you wouldn't have bothered to announce your "attached" to Shelby's in the registry and you would not have your "attachments" published in the SAAC registry, a very public and widely published registry. Convincing position.
Further, we just asked for the list of Shelbys your "attached" to thats going to be published (made public) anyway...right??? I don't have sufficient interest in you or the Shelby's your "attached" to to spend my time "looking" up what your "attached to" in the registry.
I also guess we should prohibit members here from posting or listing in their Avatars, photo gallaries and their signature lines any mention of the cars they have or signify those members who have originals by attachng the little Cobra emblem to their Avatar space. Seems like alot of "ego stroking" going on around here in public. However, seems like your ego stroking or stroking something else more often then not comes and always has come in the form of knocking what you don't have.

Good question. At this rate I'll be a grandparent before we see the new registry and my oldest is 15.

Evan,
Guess you'll just have to wait like the rest of us. Try not to let your anger and frustration show in such a public manner next time when someone does not play by your rules.

Anger? Frustration? Nice try.
Ok, we'll be waiting with baited breath to see what Shelbys your "attached" to when the Registry comes out. If it ever does.

Evan,
I think you'll need to get both volumes of the new registry to get the maximum impact of Bill's attachment. But I suspect you are only going to purchase the first one.

All this ego stuff got me to looking at my own profile, which WAS certainly egotistically constructed. No longer. I will be mysterious from now on. Always wanted to be mysterious...wait a minute....is THAT egotistical, too? Now what do I do?

Jim,
Now we can be mysterious together!
Egotistical? Maybe, but at least no inferiority complex.

Wait another minute! This listing of the number of posts is really egotistical, and I see that A-Snake is 55 posts ahead of me, and that Real-1 is 1544 posts ahead (or is that "behind"?). Are you guys retired or something? I know A-Snake is director of disbursements or something like that, but maybe that isn't a full time job.

This desperation to be as close as possible to an original is really pathetic. Does your life revolve around a damned two seater? Does this car make you more of a human than others?
Evan does all this bragging of your CSX make you prettier, smarter, or better than anyone else? I think not. You need to just enjoy the car, and be glad you can afford what you have. Get a life, it is not sour grapes that keep people on you. It is your continual whining that gets under people's skin.
Sounds to me like you have a very nice life. Why don't you learn to appreciate what you have, and not whine about what you don't have? Maybe just sell the house, and buy an original, and then you can thumb your nose at everyone. That would surely make you a better person , or just learn to like yourself. Life is nothing but choices.

Emotionally torturing Evan has become a sport on Club Cobra. Because he has a masochistic ego he keeps coming back for more. Eventually we all get bored and the topic and Evan go away for a while.
I think they should add Lonestar to the registry right next to the 4000's just to make him squirm.

Jim,
By your actions, are you, as an owner of an original CSX3000 Cobra, distancing yourself from all egotistical CSX4000 owners?????

Wow, I take a week or so to move to FL, and come back to a good 12 pager!
There's so many posts here that I would reply to, but I'm not going to because they are the same back and forth debates that always take place.
Everyone has their own stance on branding, SAAC, and the registry, and no amount of counter debating will ever change anyone's view.
So I'll just chime in saying that I have a CSX and I love it and love driving it, and that's what matters most. If it's in the registry, that's cool. If it's not, I'll still love driving it just the same.

Typical CC double standard.
This all started with a typical and snide & sarcastic remark from our own self appointed expert "MrMustang". Oh yes!. I'll be waiting with baited breath for the new registry to see MrMustang's pervasive Shelby attachments Actually I couldn't give a rats behind.
All I have said is what SAAC says. If thats bragging, if thats saying the Continuation series is "better" oh well.
Imagine2frolic: I'm not bragging nor saying the Continuation series is anything other then what SAAC says. So its amazing to me that when the sour grapes crowd knocks the car my reponses are taken as bragging but no one has an issue with putting the CSX cars down. If they don't like my whining they can "Kiss my arse".
....and If you guys want to be so "mysterious" remove all your little Cobra emblems annoiting you with that "special original owner status". Owners of originals are "special", we understand and owners of Continuatoins series are all egotistical if they dare to cite to their Cobra as REAL, genuine or the like. Hey, its right their on the SAAC home page guys. That all I'm saying. "Nothing more nothing less" (someone likes that annoying phrase). As usual, the nonsense and CC double standard is alive and well.
Xlor8(whatever): Emotionally tourtured by these guys? Nah. Sorry to disapoint, but hey, if they put Lone stars in the registry the original owners who are right in there with the Continuaiton Series may start squirming too!
Enjoy.

Hey Bill, thanks for mentioning your association with a few of the original Shelby cars, I think thats pretty cool (really)! Also, I always enjoy seeing owners of the originals on the site around here, glad they have that little identifier to set them apart. I all ready miss not knowing WHICH cars there associated with, come on guys, list it for us again.
