Kirkham in Shelby Registry
On the FordGT forum one of the guys posted a thread that Kirkham is now included in the Registry.
I think they should be. But is this true?

Oooh, Scott you may have started another "discussion."
Hey, maybe I'll be in the registry someday. It could be soon. Something to look forward to.

Yup...got mine last week. I'm attaching extra pages about how mine is more original than later Kirkhams cuz I got a steel suspension, that funny panel behind the seats and the painted frame.
I think sub-#200 Kirkhams should have their own page more towards the front...I hate being grouped with the modern era shiney framed pretenders.
Mine is Real.

The Kirkhams are works of art and we all should welcome them into the Registry. The detail and quality of the reproduction of the entire car and improvements in many of the areas the "brothers" have made over the CSX's is noteworthy.
At the end of the day, it's about sales and the corporate bottom line, but one thing remains, the answer to the question everyone asks, " Yes, it's a Shelby".
There's only one series of cars (originals and continuations) that can say that forever.

Next they'll be letting Shelby Chargers in the registry!
Edit- And I am shocked that Evan thinks KMP's should be included. Who are you and what have you done with Evan?

The answer is compounded then....."Yes it has a 427 and yes, it is a Shelby". Because after all, whithout "Shelby", none of us would be here talking about our cars that all look like the originals anyway.

Well, when I heard that the Kirkham Cobra were being listed in the registry I went right out an bought one. Marketing geniuses those Kirkhams. When people ask me if my Kirkham is a Shelby, I'll just say "It's listed in the SAAC Registry." I'll let them draw their own conclusions.

I love it when newbies finally settle down after they presume to educate (and bore) folks.
Chappie...Evan knows his car came from good breeding.
A-Snake...hehehe.

...just to grab the mike and put a plug in here...
If you are an original KMP owner, you should have received the forms from SAAC by now. The first batch was sent out to a few hundred names...more recent owners will get their forms shortly.
When you get them, fill them out and return them to SAAC HQ. Forward your best pic or two to the e-mail address. Important: NAME the picture files with your serial number, e.g. kmp178-1.jpg .
If you are not the original owner of your car, send an e-mail to registry@kmsac.com and I will see that you get the forms. I am collecting these requests and will send out the stuff in the next few weeks.
thanks
