I Sold it. Happy day...Sad day
The funds were deposited today by the new owner of my car. I guess you could say selling it was a decision based on the wild hair in my arse. My wife and I would like to invest in lakefront property on Lake of the Ozarks and the Cobra was equity that may help us do this. I posted an add here on CC and it was sold in a very short time. I think mostly due to originally buying the car at the right price and being able to sell it at a fair price.
After owning my Unique for app. 2 yrs. it will be shipped to Germany where the new owner lives close to the autobahn (Yes I'm jealous) My car was originally built by Dick Fleisher in Texas, Even though I never met Dick I've seen pictures of him during the build process. And talked to one of his friends. Just the fact that I've sold a material item and I'm thinking about how Dick would feel knowing that his car will be on the Autobahn in Germany is either a testament to my soft side for cars or a true testament for the love and emotions that these cars tend to grow into there owners.
I will buy another. The only changes I will do different is it will have a 500ci + BB with tons of torque, a solid axle, 17" tires? and a short throw shifter / trans. That already sounds like a lot of fun! (lets see how well this goes over..."Hey honey...I've got an idea!!")
I can't thank the members of this forum enough for all the help and information that was provided during my search & educational phase through our ownership phase. This really is a great resource with a bunch of great people. And I have every intention of being a bigger part of it in the future.

Bugman,
I know the feeling. I sold mine to a cousin that lives just across the Arkansas/Missouri line and he works at the School Of The Ozarks which isn't far from Branson. You are fortunate that you can get another one. I won't live long enough to be able to get one registered in this state. I haven't been back in that area for over 60 years, but wish I could move there also. Good luck and the best to you.

Randy:
We'll, I guess condolences/congratulations are both in order. One thing I will tell you from personal experience, the roads around the Lake are perfect for a Cobra, so don't wait too long before getting your next one!!!

I have heard that the two best days in the life of a sailor are the day he buys his boat and the day he sells it. This may also apply to Cobra owners.
Good luck in your new adventures.

When I sold my Hi Tech it was the first time in my life that I felt sad when I sold a car. So I bought the carbon car out of Austin. I hope you get another in the not too distant future.

Beautiful car and trailer !! It's just funny how one day life takes a turn and your priorities change. Theres been a lot of talk on this forum about people selling there cars because there not happy with them and the Cobra experience was not what they expected. This is not the issue for me, I'll get another one.
I do wonder though, how many owners have sold there first car because they wanted either more performance or upgraded quality? For me the feeling is more performance. It's kinda like when you build your first house, "you would do something different the next time"
