Well I always enjoy a Whatsa post, that is, like Bill, if I can figure out what the details are. Generally there a fun little puzzle, fool that I am.

Thanks. I am now twice aware that Amy was not involved as she did not work for Shelby at that time. But that does not mean that she has not been advised that this is one and the same gentleman. Is it so, Amy? |

Thanks for clarifying. It is interesting, if true, that CS would make a public statement like that about an individual and then make that same individual the first distributor in the Southeast. I went to the website, but there is really nothing there yet.

"Stripes", great classic film. Sgt. Hulka and the "big toe." Now back to our regularly scheduled program.
I'm with you Whatsa, keep posting away. |
The Following question was forwarded to TimePiece Public Relations & Marketing, firm hired by CSI
http://www.prweb.com/releases/2007/03/prweb513490.htm " Is there a press release regarding the termination of the Caroll Shelby Licensing Agreement with SAAC effective January 31, 2008 ? " Reply received, with no editing etc etc " CSL did not terminate the license with SAAC. They simply chose not to renew it. There has not been an official statement issued at this time. BREAKING NEWS from SAAC
as posted on SHELBY FORUMS: http://www.shelbyforums.com/forums/s...html#post27429 What kind of Attorney is Neil Cummings?? Notice the date he posted for termination of licensing agreement, February 1st, 1999 ?? apparently judging by that, they have been in lax in enforcement by some 8 years.....Deny as you may, this is the letter they swore did not exist....... I am calling Orville Redenbacher and buying Stock on this thread!!
|
Recently posted on 'Shelby Forums'. Does it mean that Shelby is in fact trying to totally do away with SAAC? If how owns the NAME, it will be like driving a stake through their heart.

Link to the page on that thread that deals with this filing/letter: http://www.shelbyforums.com/forums/s...ac-odds-6.html See post number 108 There is SO much information on SO many different sites it is difficult to keep up with the fast flowing information. |
This is almost humorous.
Neil's fax to SAAC, advising per the Feb 1, 1999 licensing agreement, that CSL will not renew, and will therefore expire as of Feb 1, 1999. Now I know that Carroll's made some fast cars, but I thought it takes atleast 50,000 jiggawatts to travel back in time. Atleast that's what the doc told me and Marty. ;) - Bill - |
As also mentioned by others, after all the interpretation, speculation, unknowns etc., etc., there are only four parties that really know all, not just some, of the specific fact based details on what took place in the past, most recently and the future intentions, SAAC with their lawyers and CSI/Licensing and their lawyers.
To this could be added the CSI public relations firm which has specifically advised within the last few days that an official press release has not been released on the subject. To date, it would appear the only official news has come from SAAC as a press release. Correct or ? Until there are new official, i.e. SAAC and/or CSI/Licensing, documents issued, the many unknowns will continue to exist. When CSI has their stockholders meeting in December, an agenda item is a presentation by CSI Licensing, but no indication of the specific topics . |
Thanks, now we know.

I don't get this thing about 'unknowns'...
Shelby has applied to (hostile) take over the SAAC name, to own it. They did so before contacting SAAC about a license renewal issue. Did the USA need to wait for an 'official announcement' concerning Pearl Harbour, or was the act itself sufficient to put 2+2 together? We have seen the 'official' letter for Shelbys attorney demanding return of certain paperwork. No cause for alarm, it's just a letter, everyone go back to sleep and wait for further 'official' instructions. There is sufficient evidence to conclude at this point Shelby wants to crush SAAC, period. Amy B. is discovering these 'facts' along with us. She has NOT been 'in the loop' as to what Shelby lawyers are up to, bless her heart, thats a good thing for her. But it speaks volumes as to the methods Shelby is willing to use to 'push the attack' on SAAC. Wake up and smell the coffee, there is a war going on here! What are the chances you can fully believe a statement issued by the Shelby PR platoon? You would be a fool to take it at face value. As Amy has stated, SHE, personally, did not ask SAAC for paperwork. What she didn't know was that Shelbys lawyers WERE doing that even as she typed her statement (or before). |

I reckon SAAC should jump ship and set up business elsewhere - Malta might be good :-)
