OK, but will it have the 18 speed transmission like the movie car?

Wish I still had my '68 blue fastback. One cool car. Bought it for $100 and sold it 2 years later for $600. Owner thought the motor was seized but it was only a bad starter.

I meant to reply this morning, but I guess, I didn't hit the button.

Ford had announced that beginning in 07 there was to be a new mustang each year leading up to the new body in 2011 (I think) 07 we had the GT500, 08 is the Bullit, 09 is rumored to be a Boss 302 (timed with the release of the Boss 302 crate motor), and 10 a Mach 1 maybe? I kinda like that idea. I don't know if they will only do a limited run of each or will continue them trough out the years, but eitherway I think it is cool.

Exactly Joe, their keeping the performance department rolling, and that's a good thing.

I agree, I almost sold my GT for a new Shelby Mustang, but I decided to keep it and save my money for a Cobra instead. I just think that with some added body trim and some more power the new Mustangs are just as sexy as the old ones.

The Boss 302 engine is already out. Although it has nothing to do with the original Boss 302 motor.

Did not realize that. So much for my rumor I thought that I had read somewhere that it was supposed to be out in 09.

I did know that the only thing it shared with the original Boss was the name.

Yeah, it's stupid. It's just a new 302 block Ford came out with, with some heads and internals. Still all windsor. Has nothing to do with having Cleveland heads. Pisses me off to see the Boss name used on this. Sort of like Chrysler using the Charger name on that ugly 4 door POS that wears it's badge.

I hear you. I hate the Charger and fake hemi engine as well. I don't mind the looks of the Charger as a car, but it should not have been called a Charger. At least Chevy listened to the enthusiasts with the new Camaro. The original was based on the Cadilac STS and was going to be a 4 door as well. They quickly changed the name to the "SS prototype" and went back to the drawing board and brought out the new new Camaro. I remember seeing pictures of it from an auto show and then at the Dallas Auto Show a few months later, the same exact car, but not called a Camaro.
