Default Glass CSX cars and their value?

To start, no I am not poking the bear! (I only reference glass cars here.)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1965-...QQcmdZViewItem

With Glass CSX rollers priced at 50k now, are the running cars still fetching 100k+? There are at least two distributors selling painted rollers from 49 to 53k, I calculate that a nice 427FE with trans would add 20k which totals finished 75-80k if you actually go so far as to install a toploader and 427ci. Much less if you were to go 390 block.

I am just inquiring and not trying to piss anyone off. It just seems that with CSX production chugging out cars at a reasonable price other manufacturers should be looking at option "B".

Am I the only one that can see this? Shelby is also locking up the market on all items and accessories saying "Cobra". At the rate they are going they will have the lock on the whole industry in a few years and replicas might become extinct. Food for thought....

I'd love to see that car sell for that, but it will never happen. IMO, a top notch glass CSX is a 90-95k car, tops. That's a REALLY nice, authentic, high quality build, with a side oiler.

They are going up in value for sure, but not over the 100k mark. Not that I've seen at least.

Also keep in mind that this car seems to be being offered by a third party, and those companies usually price these cars way over what they are worth, in order to make thier money too.

First, I don't think Kirkham, Superformance, ERA, FFR and ERA are going out of business. They are appear to be strong companies.

Second, I've stated this in an older thread, but you can find actual selling prices of used fiberglass CSX's in the $75,000-$85,000 range right now, today. With Shelby asserting its brand, who know, the prices may increase.

Third, the $20,000 for a 427 FE and Toploader with bellhousing, clutch, pressure plate and flywheel seems "light" to me.
