Default underhood coating: metal spray? aluminum oxide coating?

Has anyone used a spray on metalic coating on the underside of their Cobra hood? I was talking to a painter who knew something about this but hadn't done it himself. From what I understand, the metallic coating can be sprayed on, and once dried, can be polished or swirled. Supposedly is/looks like aluminum.

If you've heard of this and know something about it, please reply. I'm interested in the material and equipment necessary to do this. I want to do this on my ERA, but would like to do it myself (I'm just that kind of guy).

Cheers, and Happy Thanksgiving,
Dangerous Doug

Metal-Morphous is exactly what I was looking for.

Wonder if anyone local to the SF Bay Area does this same work?

That was a joke. No, just had the underside of the hood done. Here's another of the owner's ERA.
