Thanks Don..
From 8:45pm EDT to about 11:25pm EDT, we had a server problem.
Your error, at ~11:14, was probably from the server coming back online, but "just not quite ready yet."

I have been deleting a lot of my old attachments that I put in posts. I have about 6 or 8 that date back a year or so but they have no box for me to check to delete them. Not sure why as all the others are coming out ok. Could one of the moderators please take a look at them and delete them. I am trying to clear everything up to January of 2008.
Thanks,
Ron

Here is the link to the thread and it is on page 3 post # 38 I believe. I have just been going into my CP and to the attachment option and checking the boxes to delete them, but these few don't have any box to check to delete.

View the post... hit the edit button in the lower right.
At the bottom of the edit area, click on Go Advanced.
Scroll down to the Additional Options panel and click on Manage Attachments.
In the pop-up window, you will see a list of Current Attachments for that post, and a button to remove them.

I have already looked at the posts and tried to edit them but I see no edit button on any of these that I can't remove from the CP. That is why I asked if one of the moderators could go in and remove them.

You don't see this: in the lower right?
Do you see that button on other threads?

OH! ...never mind..I see..... the reason there is no Edit button is because that thread is Locked.
...that's why.
Make a list of what you want cleaned up and send it to me.

No, but I did notice something that I hadn't before. All of those posts are in threads that have been locked. I see and used the edit button on some that weren't in closed threads but it is just faster to do it from the CP as they are all listed in order by date. Unless I am mistaken, I believe that once a thread is locked the Edit and other features are cancelled.

It seems that a couple times a week, this site is down for several hours. I know it's not me because when it does finally come back up, there haven't been any new posts for that same period. This is a recurring problem. What's up with this?????

Just an FYI email from Brent I thought I would forward to the group:
Just letting you know that I have set the server to automatically reset internet services every two hours. It means the site will be down for about a minute every two hours, but since I'll be out of town and may not always have access over the next two weeks, I figure it is the safest given some of the little gremlins that I am still trying to kill.
Of course there are issues that are being worked on, but this may be a rocky two weeks, hang in their folks.
Bill S.

I had a really powerful side oiler, roller solid cam, high compression, dual carbs, whew that thing was fast.
I rebuilt it with lower compression, solid flat tappet cam, smaller vacuum carbs.
Why? So it would be more RELIABLE and actually be DRIVEABLE on a daily basis.
Think about it...

This is not a complaint so don't everyone get all pissed at me. Just some information about what I have been experiencing the past couple of days and it varies a lot and is also intermittent.
At times I can't open a post or go to any forum when I get onto the club. All I get is the 404 error page not found. This happens for all forums when it occurs. Then sometimes when I am opening or submitting a post I will get a page not available error, but when I go back the post has gone in. The slow to get onto the site and not being able to get on at times I attribute to the resetting of the servers since Bill posted his notice. At the times I can't access any forum, I can access my CP, PMs, and the quick links and I see people shown as posting or searching while I can't even get into any forum. Maybe they were already there and I am not seeing the refreshed page. Also at times I will not get e-mail notifications and then they will start again. Probably also due to the resetting. The exact same thing happens to me over on CHR but that is on the same server I believe.

Is anyone else having a problem getting the e-mail notifications? Mine stopped about noon Pacific time and I can't even send myself an e-mail through the club. I have checked my filters and it isn't blocked by me, so if they are still going out I guess AT&T has decided to block them again.
