Brent, Ron, or Jamo,
I am running into an intermittent problem that seems to have no logical reason. Once in a while I start to change Forums or open a post and it will start the green status bars across the bottom like it always does but very slowly and when it gets to the 4th one it will just stop and go no farther no matter how long I wait. I have had this happen on Forum changes and trying to open posts and I never get a time out or error. I have tried both computers using different OSs and browsers, have cleaned all cookies, Temp. Int. files, History, and Prefetch files. In fact I tried to open this post to post this about 20 minutes ago and it did it and I went off line and turned the computer off and did some things then came back and decided to try and get on and it came right in. This started off and on right after you put the Nav. Bar in and then took it back out, but I have not heard anyone else say anything about a problem like this. And I have no problem with any other site, so it must be something that has to do with just CC. However it is so intermittent and happens when I am doing so many different things that I really don't know how to report it. As I said, no time outs no matter how long I let it set as I let it set for over 5 minutes once and all I had was the 4 green bars at the bottom and it said loading page whatever it was.
Edit To Add: Load seems to have no bearing on this as it has happened when there are many people on and when there were few on.

I don't think it's you. I have seen the site not respond to a click several times today...
...it's like the request 'got lost'
Hitting Stop in the browser and then Refresh often brings the page back.
Thanks for reporting it...it is probably a 'net issue and not your problem.

Thanks Ron,
I tried to answer this a few minutes ago and it did the same thing. Then I got back to my home page and took a screen snap of it as I also have the same problem at times when I try to access the site. I sent that to you as a regular e-mail attachment so you could see what I am trying to say. It has the three or four green bars at the bottom and then just set for about 4 minutes before I took the snap. Then I went to a couple of other sites and looked around and came back and it let me in and I never cleaned anything this time.

Clean the doggy hairs out of your computer, and switch from coal to electricity.
I have not had that problem that you are experiencing. On the MLK holiday, it might have been your ISP being overloaded with everyone surfing the net.
... or maybe the Mt Shasta Goddess is pissed ...

G.R.
I, on the other hand, have been getting my e-mail notifications. I just clicked on your post to get to CC.

Warren,
No it was not my server being overloaded. I went to many other sites that I go to a lot and no problems at all. I am still having the same thing on here, and even when it does go, it pauses as if it isn't going to then jumps to wherever I clicked to go. It is hard to explain, but the first green bar pops right on and then it just stops as if it has hung up, but will never time out or anything. I never had any of this until after the Nav. Bar was put in and taken back out. And I tried it while I was using a different computer and it happens at times on all three of them.

All OK as of this AM on access to the site, either directly of from an e-mail notification, which are being received.

Brent, Ron, Jamo,
I am still having the same problems as I have had since the Nav Bar was put in and taken out. It will start to load and then stop. Now this morning three times I have had a page load, go blank and load again. I watched the green bar at the bottom and the first one pops right on, then it pauses as if it is not going to go. then the rest come on just like they used to and the page loads, Then it will blink off for just a second and the bar will go green again and the page is back. Almost as if there are two things getting together and clashing with each other at times. This happens no matter how I come onto the site and no matter which Forum I am going to or whether I am trying to open a post or Submit one. But the first green bar and then the pause is every time.

FYI
Using OS X 10.4.11 and Safari 3.0.4. Accessed the CC site with Firefox 1.5 with the OS X, no problems with either on response time, page loads, etc

Whenever I have that problem which I'll call "hangup", I usually do a thourogh disk cleaning (history, recent, cookies, etc) and then a cold restart the computer.
Normally this is enough to eliminate the hangup problem on my computer (XP Pro with IE7).

Warren,
I have already did all of that plus initializing my modem. Also used another computer and have the same problem with hers. I am starting to think it must be something in my CP but everything looks ok. I have used XP Pro and Home with IE 6 and tried Firefox also. I don't have I.E. 7 but have never had it. Notice that CW said he had seen the site not respond to some clicks as if they were getting lost. This is exactly what seems to happen as I never get a time out or anything.
I don't think it's you. I have seen the site not respond to a click several times today...
...it's like the request 'got lost'
Edit to Add: When I clicked the submit button for this post I got a litttle sigh right at the bottom of the post that said Wait A Moment. I have never seen that before any time. Then the post went right in.

For the first time since the return of the new servers, I was not able to access the CC web site, either by previous e-mail notifications or directly via the web link.
Attempted from 4:56 to 7:51 PM EDT. The web inquiry function worked OK on other web sites during the same time period

Brent or Ron , I'm still not getting email notifications on either CC or CHR? I've double checked all my settings and it seems ok here.

The e-mail function may have been off for a while. I just started receiving them an hour or so ago. In fact when I came online I had 23 notifications.

I was getting the e-mail notifications last night but this morning I am not getting them. I had about 23 when I first logged on and not a one since and there have been several posts in threads that I am linked to.
Edit: Like Warren stated below, mine also stopped around midnight if this is any help.
