Nitrous is very practical in an Cobra. If you are able to get the power to the ground - and there are ways - nitrous really wakes you up!
You don't use the extra power that often, so why suffer the bad manners of a race engine when you are not using it. If you give it a squirt every once in a while, it costs almost nothing.
You can pretty much only use it in the warm weather anyway - it's too hard to get the tires warmed up enough to grip. But.. when you've got a warm bottle, warm tires, a flat, wide road, it makes it all worth while.
