Default Factory Five Legacy Series

Planned for release from Factory Five in 2009 are two new, limited edition “Legacy Series” kits. A limited production run of a 289 USRRC version body style, and an exact digitized version of Dick Smith’s famous #198.

Prior to Dick’s death, we had already reached an agreement with him whereby FFR would digitize his legendary car for future roadster bodies in a planned Mk4 version. Now that Dick is gone, we are changing our plans and releasing a limited edition Dick Smith Tribute model, based on the CAD digitized body and custom hardware specific to Dick’s car.

In honor of our friend Dick Smith we are planning a total of 198 units of a Legacy Series 427 with special serialized number plates and certificates.

More information is available at Meet the Factory Five Team

Mark,
Are there pictures somewhere of the 289 USRRC somewhere? I would very much like to take a look. Thanks.

That site is full of incorrect information. Among other things, it claims that the 427 cobras won the 65 FIA championship and that only 160 427 Cobras were ever built.

Makes you wonder who writes their stuff.
