I think it depends on the track. I used to run my ERA at national trail raceway in ohio and the only requirement for me was a helmet and jacket and it ran in the low 12's. I've heard some tracks are a little stickier on the regulations. Call your local track and ask.

yea, 11.50 is right but local tracks will make up their own ruling, being it has
no roof. been thrown out of two tracks so far. get yourself a fire jacket and arm restraints. these will ward off some evil spirits. but it will boil down to the other racers (who put big money into their cars) complaining at the tower. you will find the track will take your entrance fee only to throw you out right after time trials.

At Bandimere, they said 12.99 IAW NHRA rules. If there are side bars like a FFR Spec racer, then it's 11.99. So, I guess it varies with the track.

A group of us went out to Sears Point here in Calif. They told us to FO after paying and sitting in line for the tech inspection. They said our cars are to fast and dangerous. The tech guy told us he used to work for the Calif highway division, and he had seen to many fiberglass cars in accidents. Just as one of our guys from the group was talking to him, a highly modified 50 something Chevy smashed into the wall 3/4 of the way down the strip. And he started saying, see, see, I told you. WTF does that have to do with our cars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
By the way. If you look up the speed way, they have rules posted. According to the rules, we should have been able to run.

I have five point seat belt, arm restraints, fire jacket, drive shaft loop, scatter shield bell housing, battery in trunk (convinced as stock location), drive shaft loop, and stock Superformance roll bar. I usually go down to a local drag strip for test and tune day with a car club of assorted cars. They just tell us not to go below 10.0.
