the engine is a 351w with vic jr heads and a tremec 5 speed..
we almost have the car ready to paint.
would like to find the original owner of car to find out some spec on engine etc..
i have the Penn vin# if anyone needs it.
it is the copper one.

Sure does look like a FFR. Glad it wasn't a CMC

CMC and Street Beast are the same just different names. Their reputation isn't good. I don't know much about their Cobras but their business practices leave/left a lot to be desired. If you end up getting a body from them picking it up in person and paying upon delivery might be prudent. Do a search for Street Beast on this site. I don't think the car is all that bad. I know the body is thick which has some advantages. The car's mechanicals might be quite good judging from the engine compartment.
This is from Curt Scotts website. 427 Cobra Country--Ford AC Cobra replica manufacturers SUPER-SITE
Attention:
Classic Motor Carriages and Fiberfab International owners: especially owners of
Florida telemarketer (replicas of '33/'34 Ford Vicky/coupe/cabriolet, 356.Speedsters, MG-TDs, '29 Gazelle SSK and Cobra)...
York Sports Cars in Ashland, Virginia has years of experience in assembling (and applying corrective engineering to) these classic motor car kits. If you're the owner of an incomplete '33./.'34 Ford, Cobra, Porsche Speedster, MG-TD or Gazelle, or if you need replacement parts or assistance in re-engineering flaws in the design, visit John York's page on this site.
Another excellent source of parts and expert assembly work for owners of telemarketer
Speedster replicas is Vintage Speedsters of California. Ask for Kirk Duncan.

Their reputation isn't good because of their sales tactics.
While it's true that - like every kit manufacturer - they're had some issues, their products aren't part of their 'bad reputation.'
Your pal,
Meat.
