I'm torn between the new ford GT and the Lamborghini LM002.

As far as classics go, it goes something like this:
1) Maserati Mistral (in silver)
2) Lambo Miura
3) Maserati Ghibli (black w/white int.)
That's just for today, I'm sure the list would change tomorrow
Modern cars is a no brainer for me: Porsche GT3 (white of course)

Porsche 904
The 904 was the last of the Porsche race cars that was also street legal.
A very close second would be the Mercedes 300 SL Gullwing.

I think so too Jeff: I bought one brand new in 1969--and I still have it!
About 6000 miles from new, all original except for battery and wiper blades.

To me they most closely resembled the race cars of the time.

I know I am biased, as I am now on my 5th one, but I STILL have to throw this one up for a vote as I think the 911 is one of the best looking sports cars ever produced...timeless. Next time you are stuck behind a wide body Turbo Porsche 911 (do NOT try to overtake...lol), or a 911 S, just admire the ageless elegance of the lines, the MUSCLE in that wide stance and giant tires, the almost sensual lines of the rear end, the first sports car with a spoiler...etc.
Perhaps the fact that the body shape has EVOLVED over the last 30 years, rather than changing with the whims of fashion, is part of its magic...EVERYONE knows its a Porsche, and it is probably the MOST recognizable sports car 'shape' on the road today (after the Cobra, of course).
Ignore the 928 (a GREAT GT car), forget the 914, the 944, the 968, the Boxster, the Cayman, and GOD FORBID the Cayenne!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (merely a fast truck!!!), forget even the 911 cabriolet and forgive Porsche for their sins in creating anything other than the 911, but the 911 COUPE is one of the GREAT CLASSICS!

Another came to me today in the strangest way. Driving today I gave yield and bowed my head to a passing funeral procession. The lead car to my surprise....yes lead car in front of hurst and limo was a Black Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT S. Wow...
what a way to go and be remembered. I plan to re-write my will now.

Guys, you should backup your opinions with a picture, like True007 and others did.
Search on the web and post a picture.
Thanks
