Cobra's have got to be first --- but how about the lesser mentioned 65 Comet Cyclone.
Do you guys remember Don Nicholson's red AF/X -- 65 Comet Cyclone? A "fast machine" --- Bill

427 SC Cobra ... it just has that "look" ... and of course the muscle .
63 1/2 Galaxie .... mine is Rangoon Red , black interior , 427 dual quad and 4 speed .
`66 or `67 big block Fairlane ( preferably 427 ) .
I`m just a little partial to Ford muscle , but appreciate all of them.

1964 289 FIA Cobra
1967 427 Corvette Coupe
1968 Camaro Z28 RS
1969 BOSS 429

Not sure if a Cobra or Vette really fit Muscle Car definition ...but then ..are they really sports cars? Both? No matter ..they have muscle and are beautiful ...therefore close enough.

Never considered this a sports car! It was fast in one direction, heavy braking if you needed to change that direction.

Steve
The second Boss Mustang in your post looks a little plain-Jane. Maybe you could do something to spice it up?

How about a real early muscle car - a Studebaker Avanti.
