Default Oil cooler question

I have to buy an oil cooler for the process of finishing my car. I know the original 427 SC had a Mocal with 12AN fittings. Does anyone have any idea of size, either in H" x W" or rows and width, or even better a comparable part number? I see that Finish Line has a 5" tall unit with 10AN fittings - is this the right unit? I see ERA ofers a 4" and a 6". What does Shelby and Kirkham offer?

Here is a link to a source for the Mocal unit you want. 235 series, 13 row. I just ordered the heavy duty unit and their new high flow oil thermostat.

Try Finishline, an advertiser on this forum. Here's a link to the oil cooler:

Finish Line Accessories

Or go here and search for it if the link above doesn't work:

cobra, nardi, moto-lita, mini cooper, ferrari, shifter carts, parts and accessories from Finish Line

Bob,
They're website is driving me nuts! Did you just call them to order? see no prices on the Mocal's and no email address.

767-

There are some prices there- the cooler was $132 I think, the block adapter was $32, The sandwich plate thermostat was $120. It does take a little navigating to get around the website but there is lots of good stuff and info there. You have to call and place the order however.

After much poking around I finally found some pricing. The 235 matrix 19 row Mocal is $175. I didn't see the block adapter.

Go to the "Remote Oil Filter Equipment" page. It's about 1/3 of the way down. 19 row is pretty big. The oil cooler generally isn't necessary unless you are going to a open track day or sustained high rpm running, which is why I'm using a thermostat.
