History in add:
My name is Richard Hancock I work for Showcase Motors in Richmond California. We are a Licensed and Bonded Auto dealer. We are selling CSX3287 on Consignment for the current owner. This is not a kit car. This is a very rare opportunity to own the ultimate MUSCLE CAR. On pages 226 and 227 of the Shelby American World Registry there is a brief history of this car up to the current owners father in Kansas City. I rode in this car today it is AWESOME! I also took pictures from top to bottom. This car is not restored. I have done my best to show the condition of the car in the photos. This is not a show car. I love the fact that this car has been driven not just displayed. Richard Hancock 510-223-1200 The 1997 Shelby American World Registry says CDX3287 was originally red/black interior invoiced to Shelby American dated 7/08/1966. Shelby invoice # 001089 dated 9/15/1966 billed Larsen Ford White Plains ,N.Y. for $6145.00 freight was added $325.00 for a total cost of $6470.00. The Cobra remained in Larsen's inventory into spring of 1967. There were several minor issues with this car at that time Cracked fan blade was replaced, two wheels were leaking from porosity in the castings, leaking fuel pump, peeling chrome on a bumper, shorted ignition switch. On 6/15/1967 Jay Kulko(Bronx N.Y)In the early 1970's the car was purchased by Robert Hogg III (Atlanta Ga.) In 1977 Jim Southard (Marietta Ga.)purchased 3287. In the summer of 1978 the car appeared for sale with a rebuilt motor,New black leather,Hood scoop, and chrome roll bar for $51,000.00.Greg Lonberger (Lombard Il.) bought to resell to Mike Forman(Oh.) In 1986 3287 was sold to Cindy Baker(Ca.)and was Guardsman blue. After a short time M.D.R. Enterprises Aquired it and sold to Harley Cluxton/ Grand touring cars(Scottsdale Ariz.) in 1987. At this time 3287 had chrome side pipes,Sunburst wheels and rectangular tail lights. It was then brought back to California by the Cole/Yacobian auction group. At this point 3287 was traded for two Cobras CSX2274 and CSX2402 to Nick Nero(Kansas City) which under his ownership was repainted, and fitted with a 427 side oiler built by George Montgomery and 9.5 and 7.5 Halibrands. Reistered with a MO. Plate that read "AC427" This car has appeared in the 1990 Racemark and Hallmark cards and calenders.
