Default Question for the Team III Wheel Owners

I am considering a set of the 17" Team III GT40 type wheels and I am looking for some input from owners. I am curious about the erstatz spinner that they mfg. Is this a heavy duty piece built to last or some pot metal tin like the ones American Racing and Cragar sold back in the day? I see that they charge $425 for the spinner and lug cover set, and that is reasonable if the quality is there. If they are too light, does anyone know if the forged adapter and knockoff they sell will fit thru the bolt on wheels (I could adjust backspace to suit)? Lastly, the only picture I have seen of this setup is on their website and it is rather distant for a good look....some close detail pictures would be nice if anybody has some!

I've seen a few and you said in your post. The Team III wheels you lugs with cover, spiiner is decoration piece only, if you want to look right get vintage wheels or some other type that uses a pin drive...

I bought the ACIII wheels and the center "threaded" portion is a little weird: it is loose in the wheel until you tighten it up with the spinner. I ended up making some spacers to fit behind it because the piece would drop too far into the wheel for me to start the spinner! When I called, they suggested some silicone to help hold it to the wheel while you start the spinner. Other than that, the spinner itself is nice and heavy duty. The lug nut cap matches well with the rest of the wheel.

zipzip:
Thank you! that is exactly what I was looking for!

I am looking at the Vintage wheels too, but the offsets are going to be iffy. I can tailor the ACIII wheel to exactly what I want. I want to use a different set of wheels for track use and save my PSE 17's for street duty. I have been mounting/demounting tires and sooner or later there is going to be a snafu if I keep it up.
