Default Outstanding deal on a stainless bolt kit - great look and quality too!

I just received the stainless bolt kit I ordered from Chuck and Karen Clark out in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. First and foremost, they were just outstanding people to deal with.

The bolt kit just came, and the bolts, and the way they are all packaged by application is outstanding. They offer full polished with no head markings, partial polished, with very bright heads and bolt makings still intact, and unpolished.

I chose the base unpolished kit. I thought it would be all dull and chalky looking, but instead it's got a clean bright sheen to them - just what I was hoping to do myself. They're great quality, all 304 stainless. I also ordered the optional stainless studs for the valve covers and oil pan. All bolts, studs, washers and nuts are 304 stainless - top quality stuff. The studs all are top shelf, with a Allen head sunk into the top for ease of installing the studs, no double nutting needed to sink them in.

The best part? The price. The base engine kit was $37.00, and there was an additional charge of $11.00 for the oil pan and valve cover studs. The total was $48.00. Check out the price of the equivalent kit in Summit or Jegs - if memory serves me correctly it more than double this.

All the studs and bolts are individually bagged and labeled by their application (intake, water pump, etc). Here's what I got in the kit:

Header bolts (Allen head bolts for ease of use, no extra charge)
Timing Cover
Carb Studs
Intake manifold
Crank Pulley
Fan Pulley
Oil Pan
Fuel Pump
Valve Covers
Water Pump
Distributor Hold Down
Oil Filter Housing
Coil Bracket

Give Chuck and Karen a call for any engine, they can and are more than pleased to work with all of us on your engine, regardless of make and type. My kit is for a ford FE. I usually don't go to this extent to "promote" someone, but the product, price and service they provide is top notch, and they're great folks to boot.

I've used their products twice now...for a SBC I assembled and for my 445ci Windsor. Everything worked well. Awesome prices too.
