Ignition Problems
After doing some winter mods and upgrades, of which one included rewiring the dash and installing a new ignition switch, I no longer have a running cobra. Bummer. Carbed 351W with Mallory breakerless ignition system.
So, checked the system and the ignition switch seems to be working just fine. Power is getting to the coil and to the Mallory ignition module ( http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p?part=MAA-609), but I am not getting any spark out of the coil. Engine turns over and has fuel. I took the coil off and put it on my 65 Mustang, and it fired right up, so I am pretty positive that the coil is good. Does anyone know of a way to test the ignition module to see if it is working? I know they are pretty touchy, but I had the power disconnected from the system while working on the wiring and I didn't change the wiring, just tightened it up. Everything else is working just fine. Any ideas to verify the cause before I spend $70 to replace the module?
