Hey, I can relate to your pain!
I'm now 66 years old and I now understand what they mean when they say, "your just getting old".
I've replaced both knee joints, hips bad, had left rotator cuff surgery, have inflamed artritic joints, and recently a pinched nerve in my neck.
What the hell, I'm still kicken and won't give up until they put me in the box.
Here's what I can recomend to help reduce your discomfort.
Ride your road pedal bike a least 25 miles per day.
Stretch each morning.
Walk the dog.
Cut back on crazy sex.........
Drink a fair amount each day (booze).
Take plenty of drugs...Celebrex and vicadon or whatever the doctor will give you.
Wear loose shorts with elastic waist band, sandles, tee shirts and ballcap.
Use just a lap belt while driving your Cobra.
Don't carry anything in your pockets, except lunch money and a credit card for gas.
There are many other suggestions, but these might help. If you can't get the pain to go away...buy a Corvette.
Best of luck, Bill
