Default GT500KR priced, hot off the presses!

Ford has just announced the retail price for the 2008 GT500KR..........................................$ 35,665.00 MSRP.

Oh yes, that is in ADDITION to the GT500 base price! Let the frenzy begin!

I wonder if they painted the rear ends. I have been reading all of the complaints over on the new Shelby site from GT-500 owners about the whole rear end being rusty. Seems Ford shipped them unpainted and then they lay around and got all rusty, but they just stuck them in that way instead of cleaning and painting them. One guy in particular was really ticked that when he first put his on a rack and saw that rear end he was about ready to crap. Now they are discussing ways to get the rust off and paint them without removing them or messing up the cars.

Whats the BASE price for a standard issue V8 GT? From that you could extapolate what the KR version costs are.

So that means after dealer markup... $120k out the door?

I don't think most people will be buying these for the power... more for the nostalgia.

There are dealers out there already asking for $150K. Good for them if they can get. Good for the guy who would spend it....would mean he has more money than brains, but good for him anyway.
