I'd like to find a center console armrest for my ERA Cobra - has anyon out there run across one that will work?

Thanks.

Default Fire Extinguisher

My fire extinguisher works perfectly as an arm rest. Seriously, it really does.

Angry

I finally was able to track down the lid that was used for that Armrest.
it's a VOLVO S70 V70 850 CONSOLE ARMREST WITH CUP HOLDER.

I'm going to purchase the volvo lid and manufacture one myself out of wood and cover it with carpet or leather material.
Will post picture when I'm done within two weeks.

Rodney - I've been tempted to buy one. I really like the look of the Olthoff armrest and the idea of having a place to hold stuff. I think it would probably create an awkward shifting position for me though, since I sit pretty low (no seat rails) and I can already rest my arm on the tunnel.

I've put it under consideration. I don't have much of anything in the interior, but it would be nice to have some place to put some a few little things and rest my arm. I believe it would be the right height for me and offer good ergonomics.

However, there's a part of me that thinks it's ridiculous and why stop there. Why not add some cupholders, maplight, GPS, stereo, heated seats, map pockets, PB, PS, A/C...

Sometimes I'll go to a car show, and I'll have a few things I would rather not carry in my pocket and would not want to leave on the passenger seat.

It is also usefull to rest your arm when driving for hours.... the one shown that was built with the VOLVO top I think looks good.

That's why we live in this country where we are free to do what ever we want (That is morally and ethicly right!) and don't have to agree with anyone except the wife and I don't currently have one....LOL

Doug, I decided to order one from Olthoff. They said it takes a couple or few days to get one covered. Then I assume it will be about a week for shipping from the East Coast. Since it's held on by velcro, when I get mine, you're more than welcome to try it out in your car at a breakfast.

That would be great to see it and test it out in my car. I wonder if they buy it made and cover it or build it?

So are you going with curb feelers and back-up camera? Couldn't resist...

No AC, PS, PB, PA, PW, GPS, day/night mirror, cruise control, heated 10-way adjustable power seats or backup camera. Just a place to put my pens, paperclips and paper. There's no "slippery slope" over here.

I'm no whiz bang high-tech guy like you, but it sounds like Olthoff has the plastic "structure" in stock, but need to have it covered with vinyl (uh, maybe leather?) material. Build to order, Just-In-Time method.

Time for a small correction here. This armest is NOT the Olthoff one. It is made by a Tony Revetti 716-244-2638. He is currently at the London show. They are going to be sold through the second strike (secondstrike.com) website.

I have one coming for my Backdraft. They are covered with leather and you can get them with some optional stereo equipment. The cool part about that is that you can plug the console into a cigerette lighter, plug in an iPod/speakers and you have tunes.

Are you saying Tony makes the armrest for Olthoff or are you talking about a different armrest?
