Your Intrepid Foreign Correspondent is grateful for the further updates. Of course, I'm still looking for someone at AC Cars Limited to whom I can write a sizable check so that I may acquire a genuine AC motorcar to replace my trashy fake. All leads are appreciated.

(Evan - no need to respond. The Shelby version doesn't interest me as it lacks the purity and exclusivity of the genuine article. )

We do have our demonstrater for sale if anyone is interested. It is duly equiped with an inline six similar to the original and updated to Mr. C.S.'s personal preference for an autobox. We do take bank transfers. See my gallery for photos. The current political climate in Indonesia is very favorable for investment and any large sums of money can be forwarded to me (pm me for details) and I will surely invest them in "our" new company, AC Cars Manufacturing Indonesia. Our logo will be a mirror image of the original AC logo to represent the backwards image of the name and to avoid any legal glitches. Also in order to avoid any quibblies over the body design being copied, we will mirror image the body by switching the right side and left side. While it will be hard to tell, it will indeed not be a "copy" as it is made south of the equator and everyone knows when the water goes down the drain, it spins in the opposite direction.

Trevor, leave the tool box at home, its too sophisticated for here, plus they will ding you for duty at customs/immigration.

It is gratifying to receive so much positive assistance in my proposed venture, but I think I have solved the issue. Here on the Faroe Islands I have found a suitable shed what don't leak too much and is in a quiet (very quiet) location with nothing but wind and rain for company, the ideal spot for some creative auto development. And now that Silvio Berlusconi has been returned to power in italy, I'm sure that my simple request for unlimited European Union funds will be swiftly rubber-stamped and forwarded to me via my Cayman Islands bank account. The first car should be rolling off the line in about 15 years from now, so you see that I've not been idle. Deposits are being accepted. I might even write a book about it....and needless to say that the new company is nothing to do with me in any way, shape or form - it is clearly belonging to my shareholders, thus absolving me from any further responsibility in that area, as and when my rock-solid business plan goes tits-up. Thus my credibility as a leading international businessman of integrity can remain intact. God Save the Queen.

Your proposals regarding the use of our Poultry Barns for your private investments have been reviewed by us at our local Crown & Ale offices and have been approved, but with some reservations.

It is not clear to us how you plan on removing the two and half meters of poultry droppings prior to your utilizations. Whilst we agree that such guano can be a valuable commodity, having included the value of such in our price quotes, you may not realize that the age of the crop had rendered its hardness just slightly softer than our basalt by test. Thou years of dust and debris have covered the surfaces to a grey patina, you should be advised again that attempts at opening the surface will expose rather noxious vapors for some lengthy period of time until the barns are habitable.

While we understand you have no intention of immediately removing the said materials and have assured us that it will not affect your operations in the slightest, we feel obliged to advise you hereby in writing.

Further, we all now agree that you may install whatever neon lighting you might require on the exterior premises, containing any obligatory logos or branding as you consider appropriate. This is not really an inconvenience to our small community, since that shallow end of the valley remains otherwise unimproved and uninhabited. We are a proud people and we value our quietude; but, we are modernists and recognize the importance of new commerce both to the Dansk Crown and our lovely Fugloy.

In that regard, we have been discussing your future logo as it might fit our locale. Whilst we know from you that another foreign company of some mean sort has already claimed to use a rearing horse (cavalle rampant), we would suggest rather one of our several sturdy plough-horses as your project's proud example of four hoofs clearly and solidly on the rocky ground of our erie islands. We will make either of our plough-horses available for any photo-sessions you might require, though the mare does look a bit bowed since her last mounting.

Further to your lease details, you have been advised of the nature of our rainy topology and have been cautioned regarding the occasional flooding of that area of Hattarvik and you have agreed to accept our conditions.

We insist that you have agreed to not discuss in any way the history of the previous foreign lessee from the American Colonies, about which various stories are likely not true. It was only rumored that his European investments included his partial ownership in the Nils Coe & Anders Bra Poultry Works. My uncle and cousin never did learn about why he wanted the exclusive name of the Coe-Bra Poultry Works after that horrible poultry disease spoilt their last hatchlings, but to each his own, i suppose. An American Dollar seemed fair enough to grandfather for a failed company logo and grandfather had not seen one since the Great War. The gentleman seemed to be otherwise quite famous in the automotive business, he supposedly said, but we never learnt about any details because grandfather couldn't recall too much about anything after the unfortunate roof-thatching accident.

We agree in principle to help you manage the development of the eventual tourist hotel you are planning. We would suggest your joining at least nominally the local Walking Club and avail yourself of their various trails and easy climbs to publish in your hotel's area attraction feature. My cousin, Einar, is the registrar and will help you organize such as is required. We don't get many visitors to the area anymore since the prison was closed due to disuse and the unfortunate neglect of the prisoners. Actually, less than a dozen died due to exposure and that from a population of less than two dozen escapees. Over the last century, the stories have grown all out of proportion.

We were very pleased that you found our happy townsfolk to your liking and all six of us are further proud to know you have found this to be the least expensive properties in the entire British and Danish Empires, such they are. As we were all rather jovial at the time, no-one is quite certain what was said to whom, so it is our custom to simply apologise to everyone around and everything is completely settled. i am sure the little bump on your head is indulgence enough for the black-eye you gave him. All in all, it was a grand evening and left us with much to discuss and laugh about. A regular night, really. Actually, Eirik has needed a good one for some time; well deserved, really. How could you know he was our Constable, anyway, with no visible uniform? I think he could have dispensed with the hand-cuffs, though.

Indeed Mr.Wayne, sir, my Nigerian office is still open for business despite being given a new coat of whitewash and a further layer of cow-dung on the roof. Sadly it seems that your Americanian cousins are no longer receptive to my entreaties to send funds to my new project and I fear we may have to lay off the staff of 120 poor souls and slaughter all da chickens.

May I thank you Mr.WhatsaCoe for your kind and somewhat lengthy outpourings - your kind words and advice are seriously heeded. I was indeed hoping that with a road drill and a toothbrush I might dislodge all the highly valuable guano, laid down by pigeons wot done evacuated their bowels since the time of the the Viking raiders, and sell this on the open market as fertiliser for the royal gardens at the Buckingham of the Palace. Your words have done blown da gaff. Now I'll have about 300 Chinese guano pickers scrambling over my hovel and stealing my prized crap.

However my plan to build the finest of sporting repicas on these islands will continue since its been discovered that a back axle makes a fine weapon when it comes to dispatching the unsuspecting beluga whales that visit the harbour in search of cuddles and human contact. Thus we now eat well and I'm something of a hero, even though I am getting a bit fed up with blubber-burgers....

Tis interesting that you mention the now-legendary Texicanian poultry farmer that paid a fleeting visit to yon shores, since I was told the saga at me mothers knee and thought it all part of an old Norse legend. Seems the gent in question set up a factory, then closed it down, went to far shores to slaughter animals only to return and take control of the chicken-fanciers clubs, having paid them 1 groat for the privilege. He then kept the records of all the birds though many around these parts suspected he cloned many and sold duplicates of some of the prized roosters. He even began selling empty chicken eggs as 'Shell A' and the always popular but very fragile 'Shell B'. Legend says he was run out of town and he went into the west, but not before the local Lubby witch put a spell on him that ensured he lived forever. Serve him right.

and sorry about the mess on the bar, but that aint spittle.... :-0

Trevor: Do we know the current whereabouts of AL? Is he back in South Africa? He appears to be a rather well travelled; with his trail of alleged misdeeds I'm just wondering who is offering him "safe haven?" Is Interpol looking for him? Is he that elusive?

Me doubts S.A. as there are tax and wage issues there from the early days (Jaguar dealership and car leasing) in fact a few years back one of his ernest former employees posted here looking for a lead as where to find the aformentioned gentleman so as to "negotiate" for the back wages owed.

Perhaps one should look in the Falklands Islands. He seems to be running out of places to "hide and scam". But then the US with great effort and expense can't find a 6'6" tall Saudi gentleman either.........................

That long dead Saudi gentleman wouldn't be of much value to us to advertise. Their culture needs martyrs. But, the enemy leadership do not want to admit he is gone, since they have lied about him for so long. Neither do they have his body to venerate. Hard to display a smudge. A good DNA sample would bring you $25M and a difficult life-style.

Time will tell. He is no longer taking phone calls, thanks to the New York Times.

But, i hope Mr. Malta paid his Maltese mouthpiece in advance or she will be just another screwed creditor.

I'm still recovering from the news that the gent who set up 'AC', or whatever it was called, in Malta, had nothing to do with the company at all! You kinda lose faith when that happens - a bit like being told that the Easter Bunny is just make-believe. I look forward to him taking the time and trouble to post the true facts on this forum so that we can all rest assured that the legendary car marque is in safe hands. I also recall his oft-quoted remark when he purchased the remnants of what was once AC from the receivers that "the more I am told it cannot work, the more determined I become to succeed". (Still waiting on that result.....)

Yeah, that's the kiddie. I thought it was odd then and I still do now - but what do I know about car building? Or major international finance. Or making money out of shareholders who can't be bothered to do their homework.

Acedes Holdings, LLC (“AC Cars”) has today announced that it will be manufacturing certain derivatives of its heritage product in the USA. The vehicles will be manufactured by its manufacturing partner, AC AutoKraft, LLC.(“AC AutoKraft”)


AC AutoKraft is a newly formed business founded by Mitchell Lampert and Brent Fenimore. Mr. Lampert is the CEO of Waco Classic Aircraft Corporation, Inc. (“Waco Classic”) and Centennial Aircraft Services, Inc. (“Centennial”). Waco Classic is the manufacturer of the world-renowned Waco YMF-5 open cockpit Biplane. Centennial is a multiple National Grand Champion award winning vintage aircraft restoration business. Waco and Centennial jointly employ 35 highly skilled craftsmen and women and are both known worldwide for quality workmanship fit and finish. Waco Classic and Centennial are co-located in a 30,000 ft2 facility in Battle Creek, Michigan. (www.wacoclassic.com ).

Brent Fenimore has spent twenty plus years in the niche vehicle industry serving in multiple capacities. Fenimore worked directly with Carroll Shelby for nine years in the development of Shelby American and Shelby Automobiles with his final capacity being Vice President and General Manager of the Shelby Companies located in Las Vegas. Fenimore managed day to day operations of the companies to include the engineering, development, manufacturing, marketing, sales and distribution of multiple vehicle platforms and has worked extensively with AC Cars, Ltd on the MKI, MKII and MKIII vehicle lines over the past five years.

Asked why he has decided to start manufacturing cars, Mr. Lampert replied that he has always been an avid AC fan, and as a former AC Mark III owner he is well aware of the demand and desirability of these outstanding automobiles. Mr. Lampert further explained that the process of manufacturing the ultra-exclusive Waco YMF-5 is similar to that which will be employed in the manufacture of the AC Ace, MkII and MkIII.

AC AutoKraft will utilize modern low volume tooling to manufacture composite and a limited number of aluminum versions of the famous AC Ace, the forerunner and car on which the AC Cobra was based, the AC MK11 and the AC MK111 . It is expected that AC AutoKraft will start manufacturing this summer. AC AutoKraft has also been appointed as an official factory approved AC restoration center and will be undertaking all types of restoration work on AC heritage product.
