If Barbie is so popular, why do you have to buy her friends?

I'm going to use that one on my daughter....
On the engine, I remember an article in AutoWeek long ago about a guy who built hand crafted miniatures of Ferrari engines. Small, beautiful, detailed and dam#ed expensive! Worked on pump gas...by the dropper. The guy built each part as an exact replica, even the spark plugs and the whole whizbam looked about 3-4 inches long.

The extra seat is just for Ken, besides she needs the power of that small block to outrun her adoring fans. There uses to be a show called living color where they fdid a skit with a full size motor in a barbie jeep. One of the funniest skits I ever saw.

Do searches under Conley Engineering. He was building stuff like this 20 years ago and added a blower option about 10 years ago.

There is a club in Ca that manufactures the motors. They have all of the information on where you can get the castings for almost anything that you would want. With all of the work you are looking at a min of 30K for one of the easy ones. Now if you wanted a blower option I could only imagine how much that would be.

I know that site!
A while ago when I was researching information to set up my shop I happened across the build site. It shows a lot of detail, it's very cool.

This site is cool also:
http://www.craftsmanshipmuseum.com/
I'm a fair machinest, in other words I can make something that functions well. But these guys take it to a new level of art.
Enjoy!
