First of all, don't you dare yell at me.
Second, yes, I wrote deposit by mistake, but my point was that you had a certain amount of time to do something and you didn't do it. It doesn't matter if it's a car sale, a football game, or a pregnacy. Once the time is up, the time is up.
You brought this upon yourself. Deal with it. If you don't like it, you know where the door is. You won't get any sympathy from anyone here.

ONLY ONE QUESTION ,ONLY ONE ANSWER REQUIRED,,, WOULD YOU HAVE CANCELLED THE DEAL THE NEXT DAY. OR TRIED TO WORK OUT A MUTUAL OUT COME (BALANCE OF MONEY) IN A WEEK OR TWO. ok 2 questions.
i am not a car dealer, i love cars (COBRA #1), and have owned 200 cars in my life 90% sold for less than i paid. thats why i am a WATCH dealer. 99.99 % sold for more than i paid.

Best thread of 2008 so far!!!
Lew, come on man, you're not doing yourself any favors here. Own up to it, issue a mea culpa, and most here (with the probable exception of JBo) will probably chalk it up to someone having a bad day. This has gotten ridunculous.
From the Captain Obvious Department: this is another example of an international auto deal rarely going well. Typically best left to registered brokers to handle the logistics (and in which case, when that 30 days came and went, even to one SECOND, it would be "finit").

Well I guess that negates my original view of you.
If the deal was broken because you did not follow through, and I did not NEED the money, I'd walk away from it and either take the car off the market, or go find a real buyer with the funds in hand.
Enough said.

And just who are you asking to call you? You asked a question, let's hope you are not angry because you don't like my response. As for redneck, I've yet to see one on this web site, care to tell us just what one looks like? Or is the meaning a bit different in Australia?

Exactly! I thought it might be me, if for no other reason than my being in Texas. Not sure how an Aussie would be especially clued into detectable behaviors or typical locales of aforementioned rednecks.
Hey, does anyone know if Jeff Foxworthy is a Cobra guy? Gosh, if he was here, he could help out!

Simple question/simple answer
Why should you be entitled to MORE time? Why should he sell the car to someone who neglected to mention he was a dealer and seems to be trying to make a buck off of his sale?
Answer ME those SIMPLE questions!!!!
