I'll bet that we'll all wake up tomorrow morning and notice that one leg is slightly longer than the other :0) Peter Brock.

Excaliber 04-02-2008 01:20 AM

 I figured you were watching this crazy thread play out.

Trevor Legate 04-02-2008 01:56 AM

I got me a copy of the AC Bible and if that chassis number ain't in there, then it don't exist (a note for any future April 1 pranks) Well, that's the theory anyhoo...but - carry on dreaming....

mickmate 04-02-2008 04:19 AM

I was waiting for Thurman Loomis' name to show up as the salesman...............

Joe Wicked 04-02-2008 04:37 AM

One of the best 4/1 jokes I have seen. Had me curious, but something like this is easy for me to grasp onto. I don't know enough history on the cars to see BS from a mile away.

Great entertainment . well done .

thanks for the ride .

Bill, motown, right next to Guillableville

CowtownCobra 04-02-2008 05:36 AM

JWheaton 04-02-2008 07:03 AM

Are moderators allowed to do such things?

I was going to make a bid......damn. ;)

Jim Holden 04-02-2008 08:50 AM

Frankly, I was on the trail of the 6th Corvette Grand Sport, reputed to be hidden away in a GM warehouse in Mich.

Jim

Ned, "Stoops this low..." and, "I expected better." Who are you, Elliot Spitzer? Bill Clinton?

Jim

Whew, boy! Taht was a Duesey!

And I thought my 4/1 Shelby-AMC 390 Gremlin thread was funny...
...not to mention the Shelby-AMC 454 "birdcage" Pacer...

427sharpe 04-02-2008 03:59 PM

Actually it has worked out for the best, because my 'Good Friend Nigerian" says that there seems to be some trouble with my wire transfer. I will have to wait to buy the next one. And Trevor...don't put too much stock into a book written by 'a bunch of winos under a bridge.'

CobraDan 04-03-2008 07:20 AM

I predict a new Cobra find around April 1, 2009

Clearly this is where I've been going wrong - thanks for putting me straight!! I was in Thames Ditton a few weeks back and I'm still looking for that darn bridge...gotta be there someplace. I mean, nobody would invent a 'fact' like that (not even Hilary!)

Nedsel 04-03-2008 12:16 PM

Jim - I am neither one. Thank God!

fastraxsg 04-04-2008 08:48 AM

We should have sent "Lewis" Banned from CC, an email and told him his $ 5,000 deposit had been transferred to the 7th coupe....

Doug I 04-04-2008 10:56 AM

that or we'd taken pity on his hard times and passed the hat around.
