Oh and that is why I chose the A/C emblems on my FFR. Give credit where credit is due with the A/C motorcar company. Not to mention is stands for "Anti-Carrol".

Well I don't know about the "Anti Carroll" thing, but it did bring a chuckle. I try to walk a fine line between admiring the 'da man' and not hiding the truth. AC is 'Auto Carriers' for me.

I celebrate the cars, the great times and great friends they brought along with them. In that respect I say, "Thanks Mr. Shelby, it's been a great ride and a rich and fascinating history."

On Ferrari:
Actually, while even the price of the common Fiat/Ferraris (308's, etc, which i regard as lovely sports cars in nearly every way), got very pricey for a while and then returned to saner levels, the more rare cars made in the low hundreds or dozens have never dropped back to their earlier levels. Particularly, the race cars have stayed and gone further stratospheric. Even the poor old Lussos are dearer than they deserve. But, the market will have its way.

i would expect the Shelby originals to do the same. If you think they are high now, just wait...

Interesting analysis Whatsa. Perhaps that could be compared to the CSX2000-3000 series going up/staying up and the continuation series going up, then stabilizing. Possibly even dropping in value as there is no reason to think the continuation series won't be continued well into the future, post Shelby. We'll be left with editions like: Vegas, Mexico, South Africa Shelby continuation cars vs post Shelby continuation cars.

SPF? I don't see how they would be affected one way or the other. There are many 'Shelby Authorized' products and there will be many more down the road, it will continue through SAI. Eleanors were also Shelby Authorized products, along with popcorn, guitars, motorcycles, ad nauseum.

I'm waiting for secret Shelby spec's for cars and modifications he was GOING to build in the future but never got around to finishing. Discovered only after his passing and for a limited time these limited edition, genuine Shelby's, blah blah blah...

Most rare paintings were worth crap when their painters were alive, after they died was when they started to be worth real money. Cobras will skyrocket in price when the Old Grouch croaks, count on it.
