LOL, j/k....

Pretty crankshaft. Whatcha buildin? I'm starting a 547ci BBF build. I just received my crank as well...but I'm sure it didn't cost as much as that one....

Brent,

Yea a crack would suck! lol.
I’m building an all Aluminum 565. I got deal on a new A96 block with 351 mains (Unused pro-stock block) so that forced me into a custom crank.
the plan is:
4.250 stroke
4.600 bore
6.800 rod
11.7-1 JE pistons (custom with a spherical dish)
Fully Ported SCJB heads (avg. 382 cfm @ .550)
Solid roller
Danny Bee belt drive
5 stage Aviaid dry sump
Reverse flow cooling with electric pumps
Kinslers new SCJ EFI manifold with 3" throttle bores

Just today I was trying to work up the cam specs with Lem Evans. And it seems that the valve and spring package that comes on these heads is very near coil bind, when you use the cam that Ford recommends. (much smaller than I need to run) So I’m going to return the heads to Lem and swap all the intake valves for 2.250dia (from 2.200) with a +.100 long stem, bigger springs, Ti retainers, new valve job, re-port for the new valves. There goes another $1000.00
It’s designed to be a max effort, pump gas deal. I’m hoping it will make 850+ hp. It may be optimistic, but what the heck!
In a 2600 lbs car with 325 drag radial, it should feel pretty fast….. for a little while.
What’s you 547 gonna look like?

What is the firing order for the Polaris missiles coming out those stacks? Have the targets been selected yet?

COBRANIP,
"The road to excess leads to the palace of wisdom... for we never know what is enough until we know what is more than enough."
William Blake

xlr8or,
Now I just need to put it in your chassis! Can I ask why you selling your Kirkham?

Maurice Johnson,
Yes, the primary targeting packages have been assigned, they are:
Maranello and Modena, Italy
Zuffenhausen, Germany
Bowling Green, Kentucky
I’m sure “targets of opportunity” will make themselves available.

By my calculation you shot right past the "palace of wisdom", past "complete enlightment" to full time residence in Nirvana!

May the road to Nirvana be long, winding and free of legal entanglements.
