Safety check for WSCB: I feel lucky!
Well, I was doing some checking on the chassis before the haul down to Reno for the WSCB. Glad I did that!
What I found was the bolt for the bottom rear passenger side control arm had worked its way out to the point that it was not threaded in so there was some actual play in it and I am sure was on the brink of working its way entirely out. That couldn't have been a good scenario.
Jacked her up to take pressure off the bolt and got it threaded back in and as tight as I could possibly get her. Checked tightness on a bunch of other stuff and nothing out of line. Greased all the fittings and once I get my clutch master cylinder replaced tomorrow, it'll be ready for the road.
Anyways, I hope you all take the time to double check stuff. You just never know what might be coming loose.

Grrrr....I paid for 2nd day air on last Wednesday for a master cylinder from Wilwood....Was supposed to be here on Friday but held out hope it would be here today. Called Wilwood and they sent the part Friday (they had 45 in stock Wednesday), so down to the wire as usual for getting things done before we head out as it won't be to my house until tomorrow afternoon. Why would they assume that if I want 2nd day air that I would be happy with nearly a week out delivery time????

Brent,
If you get in a pinch and If you are trailering, throw everything in the trailer and we’ll install it at the track on Friday. I’ll have tools, jack, and stands, bring brake fluid.
Also have new extra Wilwood master. Not sure what size, either 3/4” or 5/8”
Let me know, John :>

Thank you so much, John. I "think" I'll have everything ready, as it is on the truck and in progress to delivery to my house.
Now, if I find they didn't send me the right part, I might just seek jamo's help as Rick suggests!

New clutch master cyl is in and bled. Much firmer. I believe heat from the headers caused the problem (as the engine temp rose, it became more and more difficult to shift), so I got some thermal insulation to go around the tubes and master cylinders.
Haven't test driven yet since it's raining like crazy up here today, but I'm confident things are good to go.

Yeah, it's not to bad of a day for February. Kind of sucks for mid May though.
Glad you got her fixed up and ready.
