Your law makers are stopping all drilling and building of new refineries, they also have a job approval rating of 18%.........So what does it take for you guys to stop the bit--ing and do some emailing, calling or letter writing. It's gotta start somewhere!!!!!!!!!!.

Perry,

I have made so many phone calls and sent so many e-mails just asking for information on why gas is the way it is that they don't even send the computer generated replies any more. Calling you are only allowed to speak to an aide as the Senator, or whatever is out on a fact finding trip about what to do to help the,;;( insert your own thoughts here as there is no end of them ) If they told me I had all of the power in the world to straighten out this mess, I would not even know where to start. Most likely by getting rid of all politicians in Washington and working down, but that is just speculation as I have no idea of what is really true and what isn't. Just for fun, no argument, where would you start if you had this choice?

Ron

Ron, when our lawmakers tried to introduce that 'immigration legislation' a while back, millions of Americans were quick to respond with a big 'no'. It just goes to show what can happen when enough folks, have had enough!. I believe when election time rolls around, any candidate vowing to introduce bills to open drilling and building new refineries, will have a very good chance of being elected. I truly believe with today's technology, mishaps will be limited. We have plenty here and it needs to be tapped.

Just finished a 6,700 mile trip in my 07 Z06. Price for gas ranged from $3.69 to $4.539. This trip included California to Tennessee to Michigan and back to California. Car got 25.45 MPG. Overall price of gas was $4.04 for the entire trip. I had a meeting I needed to attend in Louisville and so my wife suggested we take the Z06 rather than fly so I could run the Tail of The Dragon in Tennessee. My wifes main reason was that we could visit friends and relatives along the way but I was surprised that she suggested the Corvette. Got one ticket in Iowa for no front license. This was on the same day that the tornadoes devastated part of Iowa. We went through a thunder storm where I couldn't see the road at all. I was afraid to stop or even slow down quickly because there was a big rig right behind me and the only thing I could see was his headlights. Luckily not being able to see the road only lasted a few seconds. Hit a similar storm in the Nevada desert. I could at least see the yellow line at the side of the road during that event.

Earlier this week the price of Grade 87 at Costco was $3.99/gal. Reported in the news is that CT has the highest state tax on gasoline in the entire US, 51 cents a gallon.

Two taxes, an excise tax of 25 cents and a wholesale tax on oil products of 7.0% ,which is still scheduled to increase to 7.5% on July 1. A portion of the tax revenue now goes to the General Fund . Originally intended to fund the Transportation account.

Dear Robert,

Thank you for your generous contribution to keep our "Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less" petition drive alive. I wanted to give you a quick update on the campaign and the overwhelming response we've received.

Already, more than 140,000 people have signed the petition urging Congress to start drilling for oil domestically. Next week, it's our goal to deliver more than 250,000 signatures to the United States Senate as a first step toward stopping the destructive Warner-Lieberman bill which would raise the cost of gasoline, diesel fuel, aviation fuel, natural gas and coal.

Americans truly have a choice - a choice between paying more and sending more money to foreign dictators, or producing more oil domestically and paying less. I hope you'll forward this email update to your friends and family and ask them their choice, and encourage them to sign the petition and join this movement.

Again, thanks for your support and for standing with me for real change.

Your friend,

Newt Gingrich
General Chairman
American Solutions

P.S. This petition drive has been successful because engaged citizens like you have helped spread the word. Please visit our Web site to forward this email to 10 of your friends or family members and encourage them to sign the petition to help us reach our goal of 250,000 signatures.

While you guys take the time to post gas prices in your area, how about sending a harsh note to your favorite senator and rep. What...3-6 minutes?.
