Default M/T Sportsman SR Tires

I want to put a set of these tires on my Superformance Cobra. They have a 26.0X10 for the front and a 26.0X12 for the rear. Anyone running these tires? Do they fit on a stock SPF without any modifications. Stock #'s on these tires are 6653 for the front and 6654 for the rear. I have Goodyear GT II tires on now and though they aren't too bad for the street I'd like something with more bite. Thanks in advance!

Greg, I have those very tires on my Hurricane, so far so good. They look very cool, giving you that fat tire look and modern (flame)tread design and a high speed rating. They seem to stick pretty good but I have no referrence point to judge from because I have not used any other tires on the cobra. The car seems to hook up pretty fast from a standing start and hang tight on fast turns...anyway like I said...So far So good.
I have about 3500 miles on them and no apparent tread wear so far.

Best of luck, Bill

Can you post some pictures of those tires on your Cobra? I would love to see them. I am currently running the now out of production 305/50/15 BFG Euro TA. I was considering those tires when it comes time to replace them.

Here they are on an old FFR:

Sorry for the oversize image.

They fill the wheel wells pretty well. Adjust ride height to suit your taste.

Thanks for answers and pics. They do look pretty good and I've heard nothing but good things about. Anyone know if the 255/60/15 and 295/50/15 will fit on a stock SPF without any modifications.
