All of the improvements you've made in the last couple of years have been fantastic. We all know that you will fix any problem that comes along.
If you need help, I can give you the telephone number of the computer help desk of my last employer.

Thanks everyone. I'm just a little touchy at the moment because it has been a pain in the ass this whole year.
I have made more changes this evening...I took memcache and isapi rewrite out of the picture and we'll see what happens this time around. Let me know if anything changes.

If anyone thinks you are getting rich off this, they have no idea how much work and time is involved maintaining a forum like this. I can't imagine your pay per hour of time invested on this site as anything but a labor of love.
Hang in there, buddy.

Seems to me a little Valium and a drink would've gone a long way before you posted this, eh?

Brent,
I am almost afraid to post this as I will probably jinx myself, but everything is working the best for me this morning that it has for a long time.
Especially the posts going in. They have all gone right in just like they used to. Thanks for the long, hard hours you spend trying to keep up with all of the bugs.

Knocking on wood now. If this is it, either isapirewrite or memcache has been dorking us...or the combination of the two. We'll see.

No problems with the site today regarding 404 errors or very slow response.
But I am now getting an e-mail for every reply to a thread. Before, I would get ONE e-mail for the first unread reply to a thread, and would not get another until I visited the site. This was GREAT, because it did not fill up my inbox.
Starting today, I am now getting an e-mail for EVERY single reply to any thread. For example, I have six e-mails today just for the New, New Chat Thread.
I liked the old method a lot better.

Are you sure you didn't get a one time spam? I had the service turned off accidently for a couple days and then turned it back on.

The multiple e-mails this morning has been corrected. I only got one e-mail per thread this afternoon.
Excellent!

Guess I posted too fast.
There were no multiple e-mails from noon to about 5:30 PM. I just closed out my CC visit and went to look at my e-mails. From 5:30 to 6:30 (while I was on CC), I got 3 e-mails from one thread (5:38, 5:44 and 6:16 PM).

Brent,
The site worked well for me all day yesterday for the first time in a long time. A couple of posts went in slow, but not then 40/55 seconds like they used to take. That used to happen on the old server and I just figured I probably submitted one at the same time another person on the thread did. My E-Mails are working fine, both from here and CHR. If this keeps on all day today, it would seem that you are narrowing down the major problems.
Thanks for the hard work.
Ron

Problems with pictures
I usually a fairly computer literate guy but iI cannot get photos to upload. I attach them, it tells me that the photos have been uploaded successfully but there are no pictures there when I exit and go back it. Any ideas?

They are most likely to large for the gallery. Downsize them to around 100/200KB and they will load ok. I even put some of mine in at under 100KB and they are good.
If you are trying to attach themn to a post, that is limited in size to 39K or less.

The pictures are only 2.11 mb each and there are only 5-6 of them so they should fit. I was trying to load them in the gallery. I will keep trying.

That is way to large of a picture if they are 2.11 MB. The gallery pictures should be in the lower KB range. Also remember that you are limited in the space you have in the gallery and even if you could get those in, you won't be able to put in many. Look at some of the pictures in other peoples galleries and see how large they are.
Edit to add: This is from my gallery and is just around 100 KB.
Edit: To remove picture.

Try loading the pics to PhotoBucket (accounts are free) and then using a link to them there to post them on the ClubCobra gallery. That will allow you to have a large pic dimensionally (you can vary the size of the pics on PhotoBucket) while greatly reducing the amout of space used on Club Cobra's gallery. Also use the jpeg format rather than BMP.

This may sound stupid but how to you shrink them to fit? I downloaded them from my digital camera to a folder on my desktop. Normally with an emial I just click on the attachment then double click on the picture but I have never had to shrink to fit.
