Default Victor Reinz Nitroseal or Composite intake gaskets

Small block Ford 302, aluminum intake with aluminum heads. Victor Reinz Nitroseal graphite intake gaskets or Composite??? If you used the Nitroseal gaskets, did you use RTV or The Right Stuff around the water passages? Ordering gaskets tomorrow, Which ones should I order???

I personally like the edelbrock #7220 gaskets and right-stuff combo.

right-stuff now comes in a miniature grease gun/caulking gun , stay away from the "Spray easy-Cheese" version, there is something they put in that version that makes it ..just not itself.

Victor gaskets are a favorite among many guys including myself. Really dont care for Felpro and their is no reason to go composite with your motor is it's a mild build for the street. You need only a small amount of gasket sealer around water passages. You need to make sure you use good RTV on the front and the back of the intake.

Did you mean no need to go Nitroseal for a mild street motor? I think the composite is there standard gasket and the Nitroseal is there high performance with a steel core.

Snakebit,

Here's some of the voluminous history on the subject: http://www.firstcoastcobraclub.com/v...13&hilit=droop

Bottom line: reinforced gaskets required for the street, not needed for race use where the manifold is removed often.

So the Nitroseal would be the way to go. Thanks for the replys. Any installation tips from anyone who has installed the Nitroseal gaskets?
