Maxx and Steve,
First of all, thanks to Maxx and Steve for bringing me up to speed.
I was not aware of anything about
oil changes done somewhere other than at home and have not seen or read the warranty sheet Steve sent. I was glad to see it and appreciate Steve and Maxx calling my attention to it.
The only experience I have had with the Roush warranty is what I have been given by the Roush dealer and what has happened to me personally.
The only thing I received from the Roush dealer when I purchased the engine was a bill of sale and warranty registration forms. I filled out my warranty registration, sent it to Roush, and they sent warranty claim forms for future use, the engine dyno sheet and engine plaque back to me.
When I had problems I called my dealer, and they told me they would need to get approval before we did any repairs. When they got the approval, they told me I could bring the car to them (100 miles away) or take the carburetor off and send it to them. As I mentioned, I took the carburetor off, sent it to the dealer, and I suppose they sent it to Roush. Regardless, I received a new Holley carburetor in a Holley box in about two weeks.
I have never been asked about
oil changes or maintenance records. It appears they could have asked for them, but they didn't.
Again, thanks to Steve and Maxx for bringing to my attention to what I should have known before.
Jody
BTW...I am not sure if the carburetor fixed my problem as I have not installed it yet.......and .......crow is not bad once you get past the feathers!
