Default Which lift kit?

After last nights spirited ride I have discovered I may need to install a lift kit on the Cobra! I retuned home and was going through the typical post romp inspection, you know cleaning off dead bugs, checking fluid levels, reflecting on how much fun I had and how darn lucky I was to be able to go out and drive this fantastic automobile. When I noticed drip, drip, drip coming from the oil pan underneath. I figured the drain bolt must have worked its way loose since I just retorqued the pan last week. So I grabbed the jack and hoisted the mistress up in the air so I could wriggle my large butt under her to snug down the bolt when I saw that wasn't the issue at all! I had gotten a little carried away while driving and scraped a hole in the oil pan at the rear of the pan!! Oh sh%# that's a $335 Canton pan! Now I get to drain all the oil out I just put in last week, drop the pan and hope like heck I didn't wear it so thin I won't have enough thickness to be able to weld it! I suppose I should be thankful I don't have an aluminum pan since I don't have a TIG setup.
Now I wonder if I should go with the Superlift or Skyjacker lift kit??

Wouldn't that change the integrity of the vehicle? You are talking about putting this on a Cobra right?

Since she is incontinent now I fear there is not much integrity left! I will try to salvage what dignity remains with a few cranks on the coil overs to raise her a bit after her bladder control issue is straightened out.

If I remember correctly it's around 4". I was a little too upset to measure it last night. There are lots of what we call "whoop de doos" on the backroads around here and I just hit them a little too fast and bottomed out.

Change the spring rate on the coilovers. Just 25 or 50 lbs will make a difference. I changed my rear coils shortly after putting the cae on the road.

4 inches is on the high side for a Cobra. You may need to change some of your driving tactics when in the Cobra. Remember speed bumps and deep potholes are not your friend. I do not remember seeing any Cobras on the Dukes of Hazard. Does the oilpan extend down belowe the rest of the frame?

Yup, the oil pan is in the "hit me first" position. It's not potholes or speed bumps. The back roads around here are mostly old horse and buggy trails that have been paved over without being leveled. There are lots of turns and stuff which are a blast! The undulations in the pavement are usually fun too! you know the kind that make your stomach float when you go over them only I went over them a little too fast. Betcha I'll cut that out in the future.

No problem with oil pan hitting pavement with this baby.
