Default Best Pentroof valve covers ?

Hello, I'm wanting to get rid of my aluminum valve covers and buy a high quality chrome Pentroof covers. I don't want cheap ones that don't seal or chrome that peals or chips soon after application.

Branda- $150
Dearborn- $150

Please advise me of these and other company's that have them and if you own a pair, I would appreciate your input on how well you like or dislike them.
Warranty is a issue too.

Thanks,
Kevin

Default Covers

Well I used a [air of Branda's, and didn't have a problen with sealing. I have another pair from him, that I plan on using for a special project, so to make sure the chrome would be perfect and last, I had them rechromed.

Thant way, you don't have to worry about the quality of the chrome, an added expense, but no worries either.

Default Cost

The cost is now more, but at the time it was only $80.00

I just had a pair of Mercury Lighting Bolt Pentroofs done, and the price is now $200.00 ! I live in Vegas, Sin City Chrome.

Takes a while to get done, there's another place that does really good work, name eludes me right now. But I've had chrome work done, and powder coating done there also. Been a couple of years, so couldn't tell you the cost.

"Paul's Chrome" is highly advertised on the "Speed Chanel" as high quality but, the show it's on is paying for the plug, know what I mean Vern ! lol
I'll call them in the morning.

Wouldn't be prudent to use Brandas until they need re chromed or are they poor quality from the start ?

I used Paul`s Chrome awhile back on my 427 Galaxie air cleaner top ... and was very pleased with the results . Not cheap , but they did what they said they would .

As 1/2 of my engine and wheels are aluminum, I'm getting very tired,.....of polishing. Although, Blue Thunders are nice, and with my industrial polisher, it would be fairly fast to do. But still,........polishing all the time.

Can you direct me to a photo of 3016 ?

Has anyone tried sterling silver ceramic from Jet Hot? I've seen a couple of sets done that way that always look great.

I have the standard issue repop pent roofs on 4241, and I have had no problems with them in 8k miles. No leaks, no chrome flake, still look great.

I had a quote of $250 EACH from one of the quality chromers to chrome a set of vintage painted steel pentroofs.

No such thing as a $20 cheap pentroof, those are regular shaped FE covers.

The ones Branda sells are the same ones everyone else sells. They average from $125 to $200. I fell for a slick ebay ad claiming to sell better quality ones than the Brandas for $199 and when I got them they were the same thing.

Can't complain though, they look fine to me.
