Default Headlight Protectors, How did they do it?

I'm referring to the wire headlight protectors as seen below:



Does anyone have a clear picture to illustrate how team Shelby mounted these? I know they come with some clip thingys but they're a PITA to work with and I'd like to recreate their answer to the problem. It looks like there's some kind of clip that's bolted through the headlight trim ring, but I just can't make out the details. Anyone?

I added this detail to my car this past winter. Needs to be hand fabricated since they are no longer available. I did hear that Acton Customs will be offering them in the near future.
