Hurricane Motorsports - New Ownership Announcement
Rich and I are very pleased to announce a new owner of Hurricane Motorsports. Please join us in welcoming CRW Management of Mansfield, Texas new owner of Hurricane Motorsports. We are very excited about the future of Hurricane Motorsports with the new ownership. They will be able to bring the resources to the table to propel Hurricane Motorsports to new heights in the industry. I have included the official press release below.
-- PRESS RELEASE --
Dallas, Texas June 20, 2008: Hurricane Motorsports purchase has been completed and new owners will be relocating operation to a new location. CRW Management of Mansfield, Texas has purchased the complete operation of Hurricane Motorsports. New owners will begin the process of moving the complete operation to a 17,000 square foot facility in Dallas, Texas on Tuesday June 24, 2008. The Hurricane's new facility will house a complete Sales and Customer Support department as well as a large warehouse for operation to support production of up to 20 cars and kits per month. The new facility will include a showroom to display a complete car as well as chassis in various stages of completion.
Plans are to have new facility in production by September 2008. Prior to the release of the first complete kit, support for new customers and existing customers will be available through the Toll Free number (888) 946-4737. Customers will be able to continue using the forums on line or contact the office by email at sales@hurricane-motorsports.com.
Announcements will be forthcoming on the Grand opening and open house dates in the near future. Dates for these events will be posted on web site and other media sources.
Along with the purchase of company and the relocation, new owners announced they have appointed long time Cobra owner, driver and enthusiast Jay Nordstrom as President and Managing Partner. Jay will be overseeing the process of making sure all kits shipped will maintain true Cobra style and each kit will provide years of pleasure for owners. Nordstrom will oversee improvements to current products and to review and incorporate customer's suggestions into future production as well as manage daily operations.
Hurricane's new owners state that this purchase was planned to be a long term commitment to provide highest quality products to the replica market customers for years to come. New products and services including parts and apparel for Cobra owners will be available soon.

Congratulations Mike & Rich.
I wish Jay a warm official welcome (return) to the Hurricane family.
He has been a long time owner, supporter of the Hurricane 427 roadster and facilitated my selection and purchase.
I am really happy for you Jay.

I'll second that, as I have yet to see him fail in anything he has put himself into.

Can't wait to see the new Hurricane resume production and continue to improve the product!
This is great news not just for fans of the Hurricane cars, but for everyone who loves Cobras. Competition is very healthy for the industry. A strong Hurricane product will push all the other manufacturers just a little bit harder to improve their offerings. Fans and builders of all makes will benefit.
Best of luck to Jay and all the folks at CRW as they move Hurricane's assets, set up shop and get the business rolling again.

YEE HAW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (little Texas right there!)
I was wondering when this announcement was going to be made public.
Having just met Jay a few months ago, and hearing what everybody else has to say about him, I have 110% confidence in placing my Hurricane order.
Matter of fact, I may be placing my order a little sooner than I originally planned!

Congrats Jay,
It has been tough to keep this one quiet.
It is a great company with a great product. I know that it will be an even greater success with all that I have heard of the plans for bringing Hurricane to Texas.

Thanks to everyone involved with the "old" Hurricane for handling things (especially for their customers and prospective customers) in a very honest and reputable manner. Somewhat uncommon these days.
Congratulations to Jay and the "new" Hurricane. No one could ask for a better person to be handling things.

Jay,
They sure are saying some pretty nice things about you. Apparently, some of these guys have never played poker with you!
All kidding aside, Jay will make Hurricane everything it should be. If you are lucky enough to be one the new Hurricane owners you should expect to be pleasantly surprised with your experience. See the new Hurricane at this years Run n Gun Manufacturers Row. We charged Jay double because he was late to the table.
