I think the Cheetah was constructed because the saftey guys wouldn't allow the car with the lawn chair bolted to the intake...
The drag racing circuit was OK with it though.

Mr Bruce, how does your frame compare with the original? I have heard the original frame flexed quite a bit. Also, how is the high speed stability? Looks like a lot of air would go under the car. However....... It does have a look I REALLY like!

plenty stable , large surface area of the hood plants the front end. Chassis, stiffest made , excluding a milliondollar Kirkham billit frame or JBL .Picture of frame in my gallery .

a real Cheetah
I have a friend (retired coworker) who has one of the original Cheetah's. Fully documented, history, etc. It needs to be restored, but it is a real original! He's owned it since the early 70's. Bought it for cheap back then, I'm sure some people did the same with original Cobra's, then set on them until they're worth big $$$'s. Whether you like them or not, it is a piece of history, and only 20-something were made before the factory burned. I appreciate all rare cars, regardless of brand, just happen to like some more than others.

Nope, didn't hit reserve., how does the story end? Guess I'll finish her up, and raise the price.

Another thing the contributed to the light weight of the orginal Cheetah's was a pretty thin (and flexible) glass skin. I think they look cool and a GM engine is the appropriate power plant.
