Default Looking for wheel studs IRS Part #

Hi All,

I have a 8.8 rear from a Mark VIII. I would like to know if you guys know where I can get the right wheel studs for this setup.

I would prefer local Napa or other source.

Need part number

The original T-bird and Mark VIII studs are metric. I believe the studs you need to change over to are 1/2". You should be able to get them at any good auto parts store or speed shop.
I'm assuming here you are planning on having the hubs drilled to 5 x 4.5" pattern?

Default Racing studs are alot stronger

priobe For a safety issue like wheel studs, You should look at ARP or getting these stubs through Jeg's or Summit. They are stronger and NHRA approved. You can get long ones and cut them down to length. There is a reason with Napa sells wheel studs for 5-7 bucks and Summit sells them for 8-12 dollars. High Powered cars but alot of extra strain on the drive trains. Here's one for you, the GT-40's (the new ones) where recalled for the stub bolts breaking off from abuse. Any power adder caused this. They have a kit for the repair. Bolts are now good for 1000 HP. Most people don't have 1K HP but it's nice to know you have parts this strong on the car. Rick L. Ps there are stub shaft axles from Stage 5 that are out with a bigger output spline to the wheel hub assembly and a larger axle shaft to pervent spline twisting. It was in the last issue of Super Ford and Mustangs Mag. 1/4 racers have this failure of twisted splines and broken shafts. Something to look at. Just a thought.
