Default Good reason to own a Hummer...

Business Owner Chases, Runs Over Robbery Suspects In Hummer
Two Suspects In Critical Condition

A business owner in Phoenix, Arizona took matters into his own hands after a group of men robbed his business, according to a Local 6 News report.

Police say three armed suspects walked into the Mr. Insurance building in Phoenix and demanded money. A fourth suspect was in the getaway car, according to the report.

Investigators said after the suspects left with the store's money, the co-owner jumped into his Hummer and chased after the suspects.

Police said that the man, identified only as Peter, followed the suspects through a neighborhood and eventually caught up with them. He then rolled his Hummer over their car.

Two of the suspects were taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The two other suspects managed to get away but police later caught them as well.

It is not known if Peter will face charges.

I think they should have to pay for any repair bills to his Hummer.

And that's the way we roll in Phoenix baby!

Sadly, he will probably face charges.

He should have skipped running them over, and just shot them.

The poll on that website has 83% saying NO in regards to prosecution of the Hummer driver.

What surprised me is that the guy got that close to the "armed robbers". Catching crooks is one thing, but getting killed by a bullet is NOT smart. I "may/would" have tailed the car and called the police on my cell phone.

I wonder if there is a "Peter Legal Defense Fund".

If nothing else, I'd buy the guy a beer just to hear the story. This has "speaking engagements" written all over it.

First off, bravo Peter.

Second, there has to be more to this story. You can't just "run over" a car with a Hummer. The car in that pic is bent in half and completely destroyed. Either they hit something first, or Peter repeatedly rammed that car into oblivion before embarking on the trek over it.

I am in favor of Peter being a free man.

Next time I hope he uses a tank.

Those of us with time machines are, of course, speaking from the 2003 time frame.

2003? I didn't notice that. Heard it on the radio this morning and passed it on. Hhmm, I thought Alice at 97.3 was LIVE...

So, there has to be "the rest of the story" by now.

Anyone know if "Peter" is a free man?

Not to change the subject, but remember the guy here in Houston (Joe Horn) that shot and killed the two guys that broke into his neighbors house? Last week he got off with it. I think Peter should walk also.
just my 2 cents

Face charges, no way. We can send old Joe Horn over from Pasadena, TX. He shot and killed two criminals in their back after robbing his neighbor house. No charges filed. Texas is a great place to live, easy to register a cobra also!!
