that is like it---works great-- uniformly squeezes the braid tighter, and no debries to clean out.

Wow! Great advice. And I thought this was going to be an obscure question...
Thanks for all the help. I'll be taking another crack at it probably this weekend.

I'll have to try that mason's chisel and aluminum block. Sure beats taping and cutting.
Excellent ideas everyone.

By the way, nice line work on that blower. Can't make out what the car is---you have a full shot of the car?
I'm going to head out to Accurate Auto Care in Livermore on Friday afternoon, and check out their Aeroquip stock of connectors & hoses.

I agree. Looks like a 63-65 Vette.

I use a Dremel cutoff wheel and a Koultool. Works effortlessly.

Doug,
My "other" car. Yup, its a 1963 Vette. Here's a couple of shots of the car.
And from the back:
And the interior:
Lots of plumbing on the Vette. Here's a couple more of that aspect of the car:
This car was written up in Vette Magazine. If you're interested, you can read the story on the car at the following link:

I like this cutter, works great - just had to hide it to keep the neighbor from borrowing it to trim his trees, ugh!

I picked up one these at Harbor Freight. I see there was mention of one similar in another reply too.
