I really meant they aint making the 'gen-uine' thing. I agree that a McC is arguably better than an original (and I'd be a happy bunny if I owned one!!) but I was wondering what the price on the windscreen of 2601 might read..? It's just that my September issue of Octane fell through my door today and there's a half page ad for the car. Or allegedly that car.... :-) right opposite the 'Carroll Shelby' page - such symmetry. This month he regales us with the saga that the Chaparral and the Cobra both originated from his association with Dick Hall when they set up their sports car dealership in Texas. So now you know.
Err, no, sadly not at SAAC this year (again). I guess it's mostly a matter of finances to be honest - that and the fact that the first Mrs.L would appreciate a few days in downtown France, to escape the daily routine - so I guess it's no contest. Ahem. However, if I can work a few deals and a couple of future book projects come together, I do hope that another SAAC visit might be worked into my schedule. I'd love to say Hi to everyone....why you folks live so far away? Send me photos! Have a great weekend!! And many more....
