I might be will to kick in a few bucks for said author to make an appearance at SAAC-33, but I'm afraid he might just take the money and vacation somewhere on the European continent instead.

Thanks Ron for the simple and succint answer. Thats all I wanted to know.
Of course the usual peanut gallery chimmed in with the usual assundry of idiotic comments. Oh, in case the crowd here didn't know there was a thread on SAAC forum dealing with this very issue in which many members were hoping SAI did show up. I also received information from a good source that Shelby was involved to some extent with Thunderbolt Raceway and planned to be there for the openning which is the same weekend as ...yes...SAAC 33.
Boy don't you guys look stupid now.

Don't know if that is the case, but the inaugural event is this weekend with the SVRA Race August 7 - 10.

Ahhhhh...beg to differ counselor.
...other than a limited opening for some 'club' members in prior weeks, Thunderbolt is open now. PDA/NASA has been running the Thunderbolt course yesterday and today.

What happened to the air of love, understanding, tranquility and humility of a prior thread where we all said that Evan is really deep down a wonderful smart guy?
Now we're called the "peanut gallery" and look "stupid"? Hmmm. Look who's calling people names?
Just based upon what I've read in the past several months from the many published sources and prior CS/SAAC history, I would think it will be a cold day in "you know where", before CS attends another SAAC event. Unless they all have decided to drop their lawsuits and smoke a peace pipe.

I have not seen anywhere where Shelby had anything to do with the track, maybe you could let us know whom your "good source" is to verify this info???????Seems your "good source" is not very good as others have proved your info wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As to the peanut gallery name, well, I've been called worse, just remember, you started this thread/pi$$ing match, not the "peanut gallery".... you should have posted your question on the TS site........
and being in your line of work, you above others, should know or at least have reason to know that CS showing up under the current circumstances is not going to happen, yet you started the thread, also, knowing another pi$$ing match would evolve......
everytime that you have "opened your mouth" latley, you surely put your big foot right in it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW: You going to SAAC 33???????
David (aka: peanut gallery)

Real 1, you must have been the arrogant little kid in school that got his ass kicked after school everyday. They must tell you at the high school reunions that you have not changed one bit, or maybe you don't go to your high school reunions because there probably would be a line of guys still waiting to kick your arrogant ass!

Amy B made a post over on the "official" Shelby forum pretty much stating that Shelby helped design it.....I guess because it came from SAI's official spokesperson (Hi Amy), it must be true

Quoting from the NJMP website:
"American racing icon Carroll Shelby has lent his expertise to the developers of New Jersey Motorsports park, a new multi-use racing facility in southern New Jersey. As one of the leading Motorsports and automotive minds in the history of the industry, Shelby has for the first time helped collaborate on a new Motorsports facility."
End quote.
The track was developed by the same team that did VIR. As far as Mr. Shelby's "collaborating" or "lending expertise"....well he has done that most of his career and in the process laid claimed to many things that were successful due to the sweat of the folks that worked for him. You can't honestly think that he designed the course/facility...that's just laughable.

For someone who's an attorney, he sure does appear to get his facts wrong.
Being a conspiracy theorist, I think he does this "hit and run" in order to create more fodder for the CS lawsuit against SAAC.

OK, here's my latest theory. Carrol Shelby's nom de plume (pen name for those that don't speak French) IS Evan!
