I think in most cases, you get what you pay for. These are Chinese copies of MSD/Mallory pieces.

Yep, I know what you mean, but I got a coupla 289s and 302s that have been sitting, and I would like to start 'em , bring them up to temperature, see if they are worth saving for rebuilds. These are pre-emmision engines(60-70s) that are getting scarce around here. If these ElCheepos work, it would save time, and green

I think they would serve that purpose.

You know, about 5 years ago, I built a 440 Chrysler and put "chinese" roller rockers on it. I ran the hell out of the engine, but the rockers never failed.
A buddy of mine built a 360 Chrysler for the street and put Crane rockers. 3 rollers went bad and wiped his engine.
For what you want and the price? I would go for it.

I often wonder how much of these name brand parts are made in China and then just reboxed with the name brand stickers. Ii's nice to support "Made in USA" companys, but how the heck do you really know?

I bought a set of roller tip rockers arms that were made in China. After approx. 50 miles, the motor developed a tick. 1 roller tip had come apart, all of the rockers arms were galled at the pivot ball (yes, I used assemlby lube) and the pivot balls were very badly scored. They were pure and absolute garbage. I wouldn't put a Chinese made part in my motor if it was free.

I can definitely tell you this....some of the equipment, and a lot of the tooling used to make the parts were made in China or somewhere else in the world. Much of the time, whoever is cheapest gets the order.
It's really pretty funny. All these companies touting "Made in America" but they have no problem buying cheap crap to make those "Made in America" parts.
