Need Help On Rare Corba Find-rare
Have found a AC corba that is keep in climate control that has no motor or trans. Now, this car's body is made of complete COPPER with a alumi.roll bar. This a rolling chassis. I want to think back in the 60's i had read where there was a copper car made. A friend of mine is going to buy it if we can find out more on it and restore to sell. Very expense price is being ask but we can get it. Is there anyone who may knowledge of such a car built or how i can get a hold of Carroll Sheby to talk about car? --Fastfrog--(Ted Godwin) 803-478-3780 then press 1 or 803-528-8633---HELP PLEASE!!!!!!

If this post is legit, could this be the Kirkham Copper replica that is for sale minus powertrain?

I would give Neil Cummings a call. He represents CS in a number of matters and sits on his board. http://www.mncassociates.com/

Ted,
Just a suggestion but if you haven't already done so you might check with the SAAC as they have about the most complete record of the original 60s Cobras. There are also other people that have good records of them including CW. As for contacting Shelby, you might try going through the web site at www.teamshelby.com.

Yes ... and it was a "copper corba". Very rare.
I think it was made in Carmel California, so its a "Carmel California copper corba constructed by Carroll".
Seriously, maybe Amy can chime in on this copper corba caper (sorry). She would be able to find out.

I would imagine it is the copper Kirkham. If so it has a polished stainless roll bar and no engine or transmission.
Do you have pictures?

OK, But I wouldn't think the Kirkham Copper car would need restoration yet. It isn't that old to need restoration.
What kind of condition is the car in? If it is neat and clean as a whistle, it probably is not an old car but in fact is the Kirkham. Which is truly a nice car, but not an old one from the 60's.

I bet the tires look brand new. Sitting in climate control preserves them very well. I bet they look like they were just mounted and balanced.

I can also add the billet suspension, and a polished alum block engine and tranny.
And a rosewood steering whell to finish it off.

This should pretty much settle any doubts as to why SAAC chose to track the KMP cars, with all the other metal roadsters, in a Registry.

Ted,
Not to worry, "Da Bunnies" (south of the Mason/Dixon division) are right on top of this:
They'll get to the bottom of this one no matter who they have to kill.
