Wrecked SPF
You folks seem to have plenty of time to come up with some stories.
What the heck happened here?
Anybody from this group??

The car appeared on eBay a couple of weeks ago and there was thread on CC about it.
I don't think anyone had any info on what happened. The ad says it's "rebuildable." I guess you could rebuild one side and use it as a movie prop.

BTW - You're link didn't work, but I'm guessing it's the SPF that you're talking about.

That car is trashed! The owner should consider some time with Bondurant or Barber before getting another one!

Yeah, "rebuilable" seems a real stretch. Someone will buy it, and use one or two bits..

No reserve, and the bid is at $4,650. So someone is going to at least get a Roush 402R, a transmission, and the one other part on the car that hasn't been mangled.

Seems like a deal for the motor......not much left of the car.
Hope the driver was ok?

I was going to bid but the transportation would have been crazy expensive for a non running car, non rolling car
The car was a steal at the price. from recollection it had a tremec.
Figure bellhousing and tranny are worth $2K, then that engine was worth the selling price. That means he got the rest for free.

So you know how this happened?
The only thing we know for sure is it has a very different paint job.

It could have been a good buy for motor, tranny, and any undamaged parts if you were close enough that having it hauled home didn't run the price out of sight. Anyone know what he hit or what hit him?

I hope the buyer decides to part it out and make his/her intentions known on this web site. There are lots of components and little fasteners here and there that would be good to pick up at a discount.
